I've had my '01 for about 8 weeks now I have new Pilot Power 3 tires on it. I have the stock rear shock, preload turned up all the way.

I was bopping along my favorite deserted highway, doing a nice fun pace, maybe 8/10ths. I was wearing my Klim pants, instead of my pants with pucks. I was hanging off pretty good, but definitely do not want holes in my Klim pants. Scraaaatch. Took me by surprise. I haven't scraped pegs on anything in like, forever. I stopped ant the first intersection to look. Sure enough.
I figured if I can do one, I can do the other. Have to have a matching set, you know. There was a nice clean right hander ahead. I scraped the right peg pretty good.

Like I said, I haven't scraped a peg on anything for quite a while. This old Interceptor and I just get along really well. I'm not going to push it any further. I don't really know if I'll ever do that again. But this old bike is so stable, and holds the road so well. What a great machine. I bought it on its reputation. It's lived up to that rep, and then some.

Sounds like an amazing adrenaline rush!

How many miles have you put on those P3s so far?

I drag my feet before I drag my pegs. You know what they say? "Big feet - scraped up riding boots."

My foot pegs on my 91 are ground down beyond the feelers, that was done in NJ, NY 20 years ago though. I am to the edge of all my tyres and touch my toe pucks down now before anything exciting touches tarmac. I need to get my Ysr50 out again on the track with the leathers, got leather pucks on a leather suit. Had a dream about racing last night. :peace:

I had to look up what a YSR50 was. I remember reading about those. Very cool.

The early 2000's Honda's are getting very affordable. That's why I decided to give the Interceptor s try. I'd looked at the Super Hawks, but the limited range, and aggressive riding position turned me off.

The only real negative I have to say about my Interceptor is, the header pipes look like crap. The good thing about that is, they're pretty well hidden. People that don't know motorcycles think it's a new bike.

I thought this thing was going to be some what of a slug. Boy, was I wrong! Above 7500 rpm, it's about all I can deal with. The ride quality, and handling, even on the 15 year old stock Suspention has been great. I can ride it all day, and if I excercise some restraint, it'll get 48 mpg, and go well over 200 miles.

I was going to ask, was that the feeler that touched? I take em off right off the bat as those touched more than I liked. especially during feeling frisky on roads that had probably more whops and dips than I should have been on, but then whats the fun playing it safe right. But that was also before I knew what shiet could be like. Then found if I pushed my luck the exhaust and side stand where next. Have to say I'm not sure why I'm not worse off, the ole timer in me now says, save that crazy bit for the track now a days.

What is really cool is replacing the feeler bolts with surplus aircraft bolts that have a high magnesium content. Great for throwing sparks when riding off into the wild blue yonder at a bike night. Great also for freakiing oot harleydoods and doods behind at track days. Not cool at schools..

For those who are not into lean angles, the feeler bolts can be roughed up with a rasp. Best to do this with the bolts installed. The angle of the striations is critical. Get it right and at bike nights bring along a telescoping inspection mirror to hang with the fast guys.

The sparks would be seen as white. The burning of a pure ribbon of magnesium would produce MgO or magnesium oxide a standard scientific white used in spectrophotometry. If you need blue, buy some sparklers and coat a pair of dollar store glasses with a blue marking pen.

Cats are weird to begin with. Inbreeding dumbs them down. He may have read blue to mean blew. Maybe that new pistol is scaring off his shemales. He should tell them the pistola will be used for thinning out the rejects. The ones that are born without eyes and other horrible things wrong with them.

We use them here after skinning, gutting and de boning as catburgers.

The new plan is to scratch my feelers a few more times then cut them off until just the acorn nut is left and put them back on. Maybe I can be mistaken for someone with talent.

    You guys are merciless. Lol!

IMO eating catmeat is a matter of taste. Properly prepared it tastes wonderful and is protein rich. Nothing goes to waste. The fur especially on those funny looking cats that somebody smacked in the face is used to make little toupees for moms who have children born with no hair. It can also be cut into triangles for those who have tried shaving "down there" and messed it up or for medical purposes. The triangles are affixed with collodion and can be dyed or bleached to match other areas. For a more permanent look, superglue works just fine.

Catburgers are the latest thing in the foodcart arena. Look for more growth and more variety soon.

Do not believe the rumors being spread by the Trump campaign of a class action suit for improper use of the name "Hello Kitty". The name of the chain is "Goodbye Kitty."
