I walked by the Viffer a few times today, thinking do I feel good enough to take it out.. Na, better play it safe, but boy its a drag feeling like this when it's so freaking nice out. but I did get another part to the de link, So only the lines to go :)

Which BTW a question to those that have done the de-link. When it comes to the brake lines up front, knowing it's probably a personal choice, but do you use one line to the bridge, then run the two ? or run two all the way from the master? Just curious.

I used 2 from the master for the front, and just one to the rear with a CBR250RR rear master cylinder with the middle poiston drilled internally, and the second line inlet plugged with a stainless bolt..

After a 150 mile ride yesterday in typical Scottish weather (heavy rain, sunshine, light rain, high winds, drizzle, cloudy, bright sunshine etc, all in the space of 15 minutes.) I washed and waxed the bike and cleaned and lubed the chain.

    Thanks.
Yes, mirrors are stock. Sliders are the R&G's in white, supplied and fitted by the dealer as part of the negotiations when buying the bike.

Today, the wife wanted to go shopping. I agreed to drive if she first picked me up at the motorcycle shop while I dropped off the redm 2002 VFR. There is a factory recall out on that bike that calls for a replacement of the wiring harness (or one of them). The bike has 22K showing and the recall has never been done. This was my first real ride since I got the new tires and brakes and stuff. My impressions are favorable. The clutch takes some getting used to and I still may have some bubbles in the line. It takes up just off the bar and so smooth shifts are hard to get. I was pleased with the temperature. It warmed up to around 190. When I stopped it would climb to 200 but when underway it would drop to 190 again. The exhaust doesn’t smoke but it still smells a bit oily if you know what I mean. I only rode it 45 miles so it didn’t use any oil.

It was so nice a clean looking with the new tires and now it’s just dirty as hell. Any trip down my dusty road plays hell with a bike or a car.

I didn’t run it hard but I did see 90 briefly. It acts like it has flat spots in the power delivery. I’ll keep tinkering with it to see if I can make it better.

Tonight put a zip tie over your front brake lever and snug it up, helps with air bubbles over night.....I also leaned a big cinder block of course covered it with a towel on my rear brake lever as well after having my 9 new lines installed. ..
    It definitely helps

Of course, take them both back off before you ride it again.

Seen at work some guys have those hugely thick zip ties around there front brakes and disk locks, another theft deterrent I guess.

Today I put a new battery in my 99 VFR as she hasn't been starting very well recently. Now she roars into life! Ready for my 400 mile ride next Sunday to Fairford Airshow :)

Added 400 miles to the odometer and had a disagreement with an apparent quadriplegic cager on I-40 as to how many of us belonged in MY lane. I'm calling it a draw, she succeeded in pushing me out of the left lane and onto the rumble strip but I was able torecover and throttle out of there without losing my temper and going fucking ballistic.

It wasn't until my pegs where about even with her front wheel that I was noticed which caused her to accelerate briefly before disappearing behind me
Horn blaring, D&D exhaust singing , knee touching a stranger's car 4" from death by clulessness.
