    Ok, I'm posting this in plenty of time to make plans...

    All you Cali guys, Nov 16-18 is the annual CW IMS in San Mateo.

    I have attended one of these in St Louis years ago, and it was pretty cool. That was the first time I saw what an observed trials rider was capable of on one wheel. :)

    Anyway, I will attend at least one of those days to get pics and see all the new bikes. If you want to go, I'd be glad to have the company. Tori & Brian, you are expected to attend or I will revoke your riding privileges you slackers. (Oh, I promise to keep my cell phone handy this time!)

    Anyone else wanting to meet up in the central coast and hit Hwy 1 all the way up to Half Moon Bay and across or take hwy 25 up if the weather is too bad on the coast, let me know. I'm gonna try and get the request for those days in next time I go to work.

    Ball-of-Steel in the replacement for what you saw (many) years ago Reg..BoS is neato, but the trials guys I had seen years ago were insanely balanced in comparison.

    Perhaps all the televised X-games make the indoor mini-stunt show less unusual and hence my yawn.

    -yeah, Tori has to go as official umbrella girl Photographer regardless of the status of Reg's iPhone he tried to obtain by losing his old one :wink:

    is BoS like the stunt crowd you see on SuperBikes or is it dirtbike stuff? I have never heard of them. I really liked the trials stuff.

    Yeah Tori is welcome to take more voyeur shots if he goes. I haven't heard anything form him on this yet. Surely a few of us can get together for a short trip like this on a weekend...

    I will be going to the one in Phoenix. Is this the type of thing that you only need to go one day and be able to see everything or are there different things on each day? The website is very vague and couldn't see how much tickets were.

    Ball of Steel used to have two brothers ride in the steel ball. Last year three guys were in the ball at once...

    they also have had a half pipe and jump set up. Which indoors, on a concrete floor. They do pretty neat X-games freestyle stuff on the little bikes. And if you are in the front row you're much closer than a stadium event.

    I've planned my show visits to ensure I see them as it's a good show.... I just had never seen some of the trials stuff on TV and it was a big surprise to see someone jump over 8 people with no ramp, just compressing the suspension, then climbing up boxes and such... very nice.

    cool. I was hopin you'd make it. We are up to 3 for sure now...

    If it's like the on I went to before; yes, you can pretty much see it all in one day.

    cool. I'll probably try to catch them then. The trials stuff was pretty wild, though. I just couldn't believe it when I saw the guy riding a wheelie up to a car then bunny hopping onto the hood and riding over and never dropping the front tire. He never touched his foot down once. He also jumped from a ramp on the ground up to a diesel closed box style trailer and stopped right where he landed. That was also the first time I saw a stoppie and he rode it a long way...

    I would love to hit that one, and ride up there, but with school and all, I might not be able to. I will have to settle for the Long Beach show Dec. 7th-9th. I'm excited for that!

    Anybody in SoCal rollin' to the show let me know!
