    Pardon the CB1300 interloper!

The eagle eyed will no doubt note the indicators on the VF400 and VF500 are non-standard. These photos were taken in mid fettle.

Like most early VFs, both of the smaller bikes suffer from those mahoosive orange units that Honda so loved at the time. Yuck.

Even worse, the VF400 indicators attach to the forks via a model-specific plastic mount that goes hard and splits when removed.

Both bikes now have front and rear indicators like the ones on the CB1300 - clear lenses with amber bulbs. They're cheap ebay copies but hey-ho.

I had to use metal clamps to secure the front ones to the forks on the VF400 but they look the part on both bikes.

All 3 VF's are now roadworthy, taxed, insured & working for the first time!!!

    Enjoy :)

Nice family portrait. I've owned all of those V4's at one time or another, my 400 was that exact colour and was an amazing bike for it's time.

Now you need a VF1000F, and the one that started it all, the VF750F. I'll let you off the VF750S..

The 400 & 500 were the first bikes I fell for as a 16/17 year old when they were released. The bigger VFs were not on my radar. I waited until they fixed the VFs with the VFR and went for one of those instead.

The only thing left on my wish list is an RC30. Obvs.

What a beautiful family you have, and I think the indicator mods are class. made it look a lot sleeker.

You're right that CB1300 has NO business there. I for one will volunteer to take it off your hands. Don't mind doing a guy a favor!

Nice trio. I would love to have a VF500F2 (at least the fairings).

The CB1300 has over 80lb/ft of torque and an aftermarket exhaust with the baffle removed. It goes like stink off the line and sounds great. It's a great commuter due to the torque and lazy gearing. Reckon I could get to work on the clutch alone :)
