I got home about 30mins ago. 531 mile day for me today. AM had about 560 miles to go.

Hahaha! She made it home without a single hiccup. I may have actually beat that gremlin .... time will tell.

I'm so ragged out .... normally we'd be having a few beers by the fire right now.

I'm both tired and it's finally sunk in that the trip is over, so I'm a little down about that - but we can't always do the fun stuff we want to do 100% of the time ... or can we? At least I can ride to work in the morning. Bike is filthy, but I don't care.

 

Bike may be dirty and you may be tired, BUT there's a story or two in both regards. At least it's being tired for a good reason. You should sleep well and hopefully no nightmares of VFR gremlins chasing through the curves of the Black Hills. Have a great night Jeff

Sitting on the couch, I keep staring to nod off - I never did this on the trip so I'm not sure why I'm suddenly so tired?

 

Did the kids come out running and jumping on you, or the wife came out with a hug? come on now. spill it, surely they missed you.

 

Actually .... none of the above now that you mention it? LOL I even cracked the throttle in the driveway so that they would know I was home.

It was rather anti-climactic come to think of it. My dog was thrilled to see me as was the kids dog.

 

Well done to all of you, big effort on everybodys part so that AM could get through this big ride. Congratulations
