You hit it dead on! Much better than a clean bike calmly resting in a field! In my opinion! That'll take right back, and put a smile on your face for years! Thanks for posting that, Cadbury64

I wonder if that extends to same sex marriages? That way a kid could have maybe five daddies that could play full court hoops. Just a thought..

Holy. This thread has been like the shows my wife watches on TV. Starts out with great drama and tension and we can't wait for more. Then the main characters fall for each other and it fizzes out. Got to go, Castle is on...

I had to get new riding gloves on this trip.

Being that I'm allergic to chemicals used to tan leather as well as some synthetics, I have to be careful to choose cloth items when possible.

The place only had one choice for gloves with no leather, but it was not a good choice. I'm allergic to something. This is starting to get very bothersome and painful. My old gloves were cloth Tourmasters.

    Suggestions for gloves?

So, it didn't full on shit the bed and die for me like it did AM.

Constant throttle is a bit jerky but no FI light. The oil light flickers dimly a bit but the bike starts. The exhaust note at idle almost sounds a bit like a slight stumble - barely audible. I had to take my helmet off and listen real close.

We came up short on our destination, there is big thunderstorm in the area and it was about 30mins to dark so we grabbed accommodations at the local KOA in Jackson, MN. I didn't want to be fixing it at the side of the highway at night.

The plan tomorrow is to swap seats (my knees are in my chest with her seat) and l will ride her bike in case the gremlins start so I can have a first hand experience with it.

I'll tear the bike apart once we get to the fun fly. Everything I need to work on the bike should be there as all pilots carry multi meters, soldering irons, heat shrink, zip ties, etc.

I'll borrow one of their sun shades so I'm not destroyed by the sun in this ridiculous heat. It reached 35C and we got stuck in 5mph construction traffic for at least 20 mins. AM had us pull over before it became too much ... she can tell that story though. :)

Try sporting goods store or Lowes/Home depot for some cheap temporary work gloves.

There's a Kawasaki dealer in town here where we're stopped. We'll take a look tomorrow on our way out.

Maybe some silk glove liners, then hopefully she could wear any gloves she likes.

Glenn's suggestion of the day: Trade seats, if you don't like her seat, as such! Hey! Looks like great minds think a like!

Or, for glove "liners" some disposable gloves. Nitrile rubber ones. Stop at a Pharmacy, and ask them for a pair or three.

AM you could also try some Barrier Cream, your local protective clothing/safety gear shop should stock that. Pretty commonly used by people working with chemicals to stop absorption into the skin and reactions (yours look painful). You may need an anti-histamine cream for that.

If you can't find anything just buy some wool Gloves and a pair of cheap leather ones that will fit over.
Will feel wonkie for abit but youl get used to it until you can find better.
It shore will be better than sore red hands. !!

Looking up tanning processes for leather in general could take a shitload of time. Different processes for different leathers maybe? For sure different chemical mixes a/o processes from different countries and different leather from different critters. Maybe deer or goatskin or kangaroo might work (??).

A printed pic of the back of your hands shown to a dermatologist might be helpful too. Vinyl or Nitrile liners don't breathe. Silk and wool liners are permeable..

A good info source for gloves is Held...Thiers of course but most others seem more interested in cranking oot gloves that look like they were designed by the dudes who designs transformers.
