Can you take the passenger pegs off and get a high mount?
Such a shame to hide that wheel

A fresh Pilot Road 2 on the front, to match the rear. Gotta love fresh boots and nice sharp handling again! Struck out on a good river-valley road in south Devon to wear it in. A nice ride - tight twists and turns, dappled sunlight through tree cover, little traffic and an F800gs rider who showed up and tagged along to have some fun!

How many of you guys who don't have the funds for a pricey bike lift have a better method than me for front wheel removal? Somebody must have a better means of suspending the front to whip off the wheel - I'm always terrified I'll return from the tyre fitters to find a horrific scene...!

No high mounts available in UK and I've only seen the Staintunes elsewhere which has the worst can in the universe so not really an option.

Shouty, that is a very sharp motorcycle. Personally, I like the low exhaust. Keep that noise and stench as far from me as possible.

It rained practically all day. Poor Interceptor stayed in the garage.

I put a gold DID on the 990 Super Duke today. I'm not sure if I like the way it looks or not. Either way, I'm sticking with it for a while.

Since there are no adapters for my Abba lift for the 83, I jack it up with floor jack with wood cradle, then use two Harbor Freight bottle jacks under the frame for stability.

I found some unused holes in the block on the front of my 86 and toss a steel rod through em, and put that on jackstands. Works really well for me. Jack it up onto the stands with a block of wood on the exhaust. I did not check to see if my 96 has similar holes in the block when i had the fairings off recently, but next time i need the front wheel off the ground i will...

Just got back from the mechanic. Had to drop off wife's Mazda for a nasty intermittent AC issue. It is too hot for this problem!

Mmmm mileage is around 18,000. The valve inspection turned up zilcho! YAY! Valves all dead center, no sign of any wear or carbon. It looks like new in there. AWESOME. When I got the bike the oil was like primordial soup, so I was expecting the worst here. Honda => You are awesome!

The VF1000F is getting new rubber. Avon RoadRider. Need to balance, then they can go on. I also media blasted the anodized aluminum lips on the wheels and gave them some paint. Some low mileage F2 discs all around.
