It is all about bribery AM.....if you supply us admin with enough beer and entertainment we may put it up for a vote.

In all seriousness. We have an unwritten rule to not put photos with helmets off (and standing next to a bike) onto the calendar. We would have to put it up for a vote between us admin because lots of folks asked us to do it in the past and we turned them down each year. If we do for one, we must do for all to be fair, and most of us are not near as pretty as you to look at, well, except Long when he is all prettied up maybe.
    :vanity:

Just to increase your chances, how about having Randy be your photog and take some actions shots (going around a bend, or by some of that spectacular scenery that you keep showing us). Plus take some of the viffer (with luggage off like you did, or on, on centerstand) with one of the gorgeous back drops that you showed us before.

There a VFR calendar each year. 13 photo shots in all get accepted. You are very high on the list to make it, but like I said, try trying some of what I said above to increase your chances.

I will call you this evening to get a grip o what ferry you will be catching to come back across. Beware. None of the signs at the departure lanes will be marked "Vancouver". You want to go to Tswassen. I will come out and meet you at the end of the causeway to the ferry terminal there and away we will go. It is a 1:35 minute crossing and at the start of that crossing, you wind through a bunch of islands. Actually, I do believe you sail through a corner of US territorial waters at one point in those islands.

Haha, nice! I can supply those things. Lolzzz :)

But really, I certainly don't need to be in any calendar. If I happen to have a sweet photo that falls within those guidelines, I may see about it.

I am thinking, while she is unloaded at my place, we can take a quick jaunt up to Cultus lake. 15 minutes away. We shojld be able to get an action shot there. Of course. After we wash that filthy bike!

I helped a man this morning with his electric hook up cord he was dragging from his car here at camp. I ran after him until he stopped the car. He gave me a ride to laundry after that....I had been running with my load of clothes.

He invited me to coffee but I declined since I have to get the laundry done and test electric on the moto.

When he shook my hand, he noticed how cold they felt and saw the condition of my hands. My nails have broken, some peeled away drum fingertips, and some fingers are in pain due to cracking. Cold wet weather, loading and unloading, tent up and down, all that takes a toll even with gloves on.

He just dropped this stuff off to me and left.

Careful what you wish for Rob. If we open the floodgates, this type of photo may wash up on shore....

That nexcare works great for sealing cracks in skin to keep it clean but stings a bit when you put it on. I use quite a bit of that. As you get older, your skin looses its elesticity and dries out. Add working with wood and sawdust and that issue is compounded by four. My thumb will crack open in a day if I don't wear gloves.

I have nothing planned at all for Friday so will be there when you arrive this side.

I'm always torn AM. I take a lot of time off in the summers to hike and climb in the mountains and do a few short trips a year on the bike. Might have to reverse that next year.

Wow even in your misery you have a glow about you that makes folks just want to play a part, How cool is that.. Way. To read the weather was the shiets up there, that's a major bummer, but that west coast of Vancouver Is. is a dicey one even in the summer, SMH south of you a couple hundred miles it was pretty decent, mid to high 70s, all though at days end it did decide to rain a bit but it was 72 so was kinda ok. in the 40s not so much. That said "IF" it works out you have time to add a bit of a southerly direction after Randys tom foolery, ;) It would be cool to hook up, LOL don't you need to add another capitol city to the list? you're so close, Yet I get the time line you're trying to stick too. Good new is, starting Friday it's looking like a heat wave is moving in, rumor has it it's going to be in the 90s throughout the week end. FWIW could give the Viffer another going over. just saying.. :) Keep up the great pace, you're making a lot of guys envious.

Cherries are starting but probably about a month yet before ready to pick. They got an early start to the growing season this year since the weather warmed up considerably in mid to late March but still not quite ready to go yet.

My wife's parents live in Parksville, so I've had a chance to visit there frequently and you're right, definitely some genuinely nice and friendly people.

Forecast for Kelowna this weekend and into the following week is sunny and hot. Supposed to be in the high 20's to low 30's Celcius for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We are about a week away from cherry harvest in my back yard. Looks lime we will get 50 - 60 pounds off that one tree. We weren't exoecting that because the tree was pruned back hard just at bud time.
