Hi everyone. My real name is Dino. The username of Mr. Hackaweek comes from my website and video blog hackaweek.com. http://hackaweek.com/hacks/ I post weekly DIY videos on my YouTube channel and I've done two motorcycle build series. First one was a VF700S that I modded and recently I finished up a resto on a 1973 CB750K3. https://www.youtube.com/user/HackaweekTV I have a long history of being a European auto mechanic among other pursuits. I currently work as a project manager at a shop that restores Mercedes 190SL cars. This is our company website. http://www.bruceadams190sl.com/ I'm looking to buy a 1983 VF750S Interceptor next week. It's been through two owners, 12,000 miles, always garage kept. I've wanted one of these bikes since I first saw it on the showroom floor when I was 23. Pretty sure I can close the deal and bring it home. I hope I can share some knowledge here and pick up some at the same time. Cheers, Dino
If there is a definition of "vehicle enthusiast" out there, you would definitely fit it! Welcome to the forum. Thanks for all the fun resources you linked to.
:welcome: to the world. Any advice for cleaning up the "corrosion look" of the engine area? I have a '91 CB750 Nighthawk I'm restoring....
Draino... You could mix it as I suggest in this video, apply it with a paint brush, let it stand a while then rinse with water. Wear safety glasses and follow the mix instructions I provided. And just so the lawyers stay out of it, do this at your own risk, don't try this at home, watch out for falling pianos! https://youtu.be/7LM3PKY8Jvg
That shit ruins a perfectly good scotch! Welcome to the World of the weird wacky and wonderful. You will not be forgiven if you fail to post pics of your ride when you get it.
