Nothing too exciting, just rode my 09 to a job site at UC Irvine, although I did hit something on the way home...

I swapped the pos ContiMotion M rear tire for a Michelin Pilot Power 3. The front has a fresh Mich PP3.

I jacked up the rear Preload all the way. What a difference those 2 things did. This thing now turns like its 80 pounds lighter than before. My confidence went way up. Good tires will do that for you.

With the new tire , Gold DID chain, and thorough detail, this old bike is lookin really sharp!

    In time, Ducky.......

My pics always come out upside down, which touches off a barrage of really bad jokes.

See, i told ya. Tha bad jokes are starting already!

I'll try another since that worked.

All my other pics were upside down. But I'm thinking if I turn my iPad around...... that may be my problem.

It's late. I'll try again tomorrow.

Yeah, i'm lovin it. The lights could be less yellow and a little brighter, but they're pretty good. Sourced a center stand and i feel like the folks who pass it in the work parking garage don't appreciate how much of a bear it was to find one... Ah well, super fun riding it to work. Trying to keep upgrade thoughts out of my mind until i've ridden at is for at least a set of tires. Now if only i could find someone willing to sell just the battery cover bolt without making me pay for the cover also, zip tie for now.

This happened just before my exit from the freeway and I'm only 5 miles from that exit. Since I typically get about 25 miles per bar on the gauge (~200 miles a tankful) I wasn't worried. Not just that, but there are at least 4 gas stations along the route home, the most I'd have to push it is a 1/4 mile!

What sort of ceiling is that, looks sort of like painted concrete.

Here we mainly have plaster ceilings or gyprock. Kudos to you to get a bat bike and have the dexterity to take photos upside down.

Ace Hardware has a great assortment of metric bolts, but will rust if not painted (as you can see!)

Went to fill up the 1st gen after fixing fuel leak and sending unit, and it was running on 2 cylinders again, traced problem to fatigued blue wire on right side coil.

Filled up and went for short ride through the twisties. The old girl doesn't accelerate like the 8th gen, but is a pleasure to ride once it gets moving!
