I just put a new seat cowl on. The old one had a variation of those graphics. But I think I am going to get this one done up for the rear cowl. Maybe instead, I will put it on the front fender.

IMO, that is not a sticker or stickers. Looks like a well executed paintjob. Look for a price range of aboot 1500 pesos+.

The Marvel to have is the chica who can make herself invisible. Great for when getting chased by a LEO.

Hotshoe1200 had a thread about this that I can't seem to find. According to his member gallery page the work was done at a place called Extreme Graphics. Pretty sure these are a vinyl graphics commonly used to wrap vehicles. Many threads on the subject can be found with a little digging. I remember another member did his VFR1200 in carbon fiber.

I remember the carbon fibre thread. Turned out very good from the pix. If I recall, he did it himself. Takes an extreme amount of talent and lots of careful use of a heat gun to get large sheets of commercial grade plastic graphics to conform to all the curves on our bikes.

If those are vinyl graphics, coulda fooled me. A mano a mano look would prove it one way or another. The question might be now is that an in stock design or did the owner have the appliques custom made?

Could be he works for Marvel too.. Hope that Stan Lee & his crew ain't as bad as HD and the Mouse aboot copyrights. Best on whatever the idea and execution on a job like that is to ask.

All that wrap and dip stuff ain't as durable or long lasting as paint. Vinyl graphics can be clearcoated if wanted. Most of the stock today is tough and long lasting.

Bottom line is that IMO it's best to have a pro install it. Lots of all kinds surfaces that need to be looked at...(wax and invisible crud) and all those curves that were designed by wind tunnel experts and some dude on acid with a French curve.

There are sources for vectored clip art, fonts and zillions of images that can be transferred to a bike. Original pix too. Even a print from the machines at the big box stores can be cut to fit, applied and clearcoated. Specialty materials can also be printed on effecting waterslide decals (decalomania) soft focus prints on rice paper that when applied to a toned surface appear pastel like.

Most of today's sign shops can also cut vinyl graphic materials into weeded form so as to become stencils that can be used with paint, leaf ect.

I think those particular graphics may look good until a romp anywhere above the double nickel. The graphics are fine, the adhesive is formulated to allow the graphics to be applied to interior walls and to be repositionable. So not much in the way of sticking power on a bike.

It is in fact a wrap. More info here, Link: Wrapped My Vfr

Shops website: http://www.extremegraffix.com/ Clip on portfolio tab & scroll down to find Hotshoe1200's bike.

Tony, I think if you really want to know how its going to look try mocking something up in Photoshop. Anyone with basic PS skills should be be able to give you a ballpark idea. Billy makes some excellent points in post #13. If your serious about this talk to a pro. I'm sure there's plenty of shops in SoCal.

Thanks A.. still a little confused as to what is wrapping and what is/are vinyl applique. The owner states the red areas are paint. Wrapping conveys a sense of total coverage.

A bit over the top for my tastes but the darn bike looks great.. Ain't just like everyone else's that's for sure. (Stockers Suck) ;)

Even Photoshop Elements has a color replacement function that is easy to use. Even has some fancy aspects that can be cranked in like patterns.

I am thinking maybe Leopardskin for those bigass bags that are popular..

Adult coloring books are in the news of late. Back in the daze, a copy of a pic of a bike and some futzing with a Xerox copier and some colored pencils were popular for paint design..

If you take your idea to a graphics shop for cars and trucks, they will do a mock up to show how your bike will work. Just be prepared for a little sticker shock though. Mine cost me a pretty penny regardless of a corporate discount available to me at the time.
