Just heard from Long. He is in Parker AZ with a blown tire. Apparently, Parker is on the wrong side of the world to have tires for F800 GW. So, I'm putting up Long and the Brit for a night. Time to clean the house.

 

Um, eww. I know a hole I wanna venture down, but it ain't that!

That is my plan. Leave here like 5am. Limp into Ventura around noon. Madranio Canyon exit. Head out after that. I will know by Palm Springs if I am on time or not. I could get lucky and be there by 11am.

So our beloved Dong and Skimad the Brit show up at my River Oasis yesterday around 3:ish (Colorado River near Parker Az.), we downed a few beers and then took my boat out for the scenic tour up and down the river for several miles in each direction. We finished the tour off with a 90 mph rip. This little outboard runs pretty damn well for a 20 year old boat! Anyway, a good time was had by all. Back up the beach to the 5th wheel for some fresh IPA that I brought out from Stone Brewery( Ruination 2.0 8.4% and Pataskala red IPA 7.3%), all feeling no pain now I break out the rib eyes and fresh white corn. Dong insisted on doing the cooking and did an outstanding job I must say. Somewhere in there Long notices that the rear tire on his 800 GS is nearly bald (and squared off), he swears he double checked them before leaving OC and that they must have had a couple of thousand miles left in them,,,,,,,Hmmmmmm, done in 350 miles! And this morning the search began for any tire that would fit. Had to go all the way to Las Vegas, or to the Phoenix area. Thankfully Bruce came to the rescue with tires at his shop and the boys hit the road, and. I'm left here all alone with all this beer:witless:

 

What a guy...sounds like y'all had a crackin time.

Long Johns in Arizona and SoCal! I know the deserts of Nevada and Arizona get cool....ish...at night but my oath! They should change thier names to Sweet Pham and British Pea. We could then cal their tour the Sweet-peas putt putt.

If I had the cash by Thursday, I would be there by Friday, and home by Monday. I really wanted to be there this year but guaranteed for next year.
