Actually. Author aside. This might be an interesting thread. I had my retirement severence money still in the form of Registered Retirement Savings Plan (401) from when I retired from the Mounties that I used. The Government was going to tax the shit out of that anyways so what the hell. Bought everything new and no debt.

Same here.. Save up and pay cash. This after getting the stealer/dealers to think that the bike (s) will have to be financed. Bottom line here that cash doesn't talk when dealing with dealers, franchised or not. Previoulsly owned bikes from private parties, ( a PC term for used) money talks and BS walks..
