Sorry ducky, were you saying something? Your avatar brings a fresh new meaning to the phrase "plumber crack."

My eyes are constantly moving and scanning. I try and anticipate anyone doing dumb shit way down range. I also run my bright lights in the day and even in brightly lit city areas.

Saw on the scroll below the news this AM that MC deaths are up 10% this year, constant awareness is vital, I ride offensively, try to stay away from cagers and in my own space.

I truly wish that they would make MSF courses a requirement for regular DLs. It's amazing how much more attentive I was after completing that course. I drive my car now as if I were on 2 wheels. Constantly being aware of my position, actively looking for potential issues ahead/around me. Everyone should go through that course IMHO.

Another observation after heavy hauling over 20 years, actually motorcycle riding made me more aware going down the hwy at 80,000 lbs+ to always watch cars and trucks front tires, people seem to swerve in either direction when looking in there mirrors, or of course just being an asshat and getting over without looking or using signals
( my major pet peeve) .Seems if they dont hear screeching of tires or a horn ..IT'S CLEAR ta keep on texting.

I do basically the same except the high beams. I used to run high beams and stopped. Other motorcyclist run high beam and I have been blinded by some them during the day in my car. I got to thinking that's not a good thing to blind some of these people out there. They can't see where their going normally so don't blind them cause they will hit you.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.................

Well if they are blinded they have seen you and might not pull out in front. LOL

My VFR has lots of bright lights so I don't run them at night on high. The CBR only runs 1 light on low and 2 on high and are both on in the daylight. Single light bikes I have are usually on high in the day too.

When I'm riding, I just assume every cage is trying to kill me which is not far from the truth. That philosophy has made me ride AWAY from cages. I refuse to be near one and I don't usually ride in city traffic. Riding is recreational to me and I head straight to the twisties which begin at the end of my driveway. Lucky me....: )

I commute daily ... thankfully, I live in a rural town and have a 4-lane divided highway pretty much almost to my office, which is on the outskirts of the city, thankfully.
