    Hello Everyone,

So I have in the last two months learned how to ride a motorbike and I last September I purchased a 1985 Honda VF500 Interceptor with 30,000 miles on the clock from the 2nd owner (who had it for 12 years). I paid $200 CANADIAN for it...yes that's right. You're probably thinking a piece of rubbish right?

    This is what it needed:

    1. Front forks were leaking -
    2. Carb needed cleaning

That's it, it came with new chain and brakes

I am not sure why I waited so long to ride, now I have that bug and just can't wait for the sun to shine to have a reason.

    Damn I love my VF500!!!

Before succumbing to the inqisition aboot pix of your bike, pets, children, stamp collection, and today's breakfast, sign up and take the initial riders safety course ASAP. There are one or two native Canuckistanians on forum who may guide you.. Most speak English with a strange accent.. ;)

Welcome to the World Bluemooner! So exactly how long did you wait before you took up riding? The VF500 was the first Interceptor that I fell in love with, never got to own one but always has a place in my heart. Congrats on your new to you purchase!

Ah, still young enough to enjoy many years and miles of fun! Although I think there are few members here who have been riding longer than you've been alive! Hell, I'm at 35 years of riding myself.

    Cheers!

    wow 35 years of riding!!!

It's truly amazing, the rush I get when riding especially when it's a lovely sunny day. Giving other rides the wave when you ride past.

    Love it!

Yes you are right. I live near highway 22x which is brilliant, very curvy with long straights and the woods/forest on both sides. Have you ridden near me before?

I have been all over that area but sadly only in cages and not on 2 wheels. I have hiked and climbed in most of the parks and Bugaboo's too.

I drive to the mountains regularly (about an 80 min drive) and I would see all the guys and birds on their bikes, and I always wanted to do it and last year I just decided I am going to learn to ride and like you said the roads here a awesome for riding.....I just wish we had the riding weather all year round :-(
