I'm not a big fan of that exhaust and I didn't happen to see what the owner was asking for it. What is the sales price?

Yup, exhaust is absolutely horrid and would be first thing to go if it were mine.

IMO the entire effect could be balanced by adding some of those bigass hardbags to the bike.

LOL ... ripping on my luggage again, are ya?

I do a lot of travel and commuting - I can't carry it all around in a tank bag and there is no way in hell I'm riding around with backpack strapped on. I can fit 2x 24-can packs of beer in my panniers ... this is important.

Me ripping on bigass hardbags? Never!! My sole goal is to achieve a balance between the artistic and the practical or as one of those old Chinese guys once said, " Form over function". My Chinese is rusty and he could have really said," Function over form."

We know that none of those old Chinese guys had bikes and the real reason for bolting on those bigass bags and stuffing them full of all kinds of shit is to make it easier to pop wheelies.

Haha... that's what my top trunk is for, not the panniers. ;)

Even with all his farkles, he's gonna have a tough time getting 4500 for a 23 year old motorcycle that had no limited production.

Just for the sake of accuracy.

    http://vfrworld.com/classifieds/showfull.php?product=6436&bigimage=1204151647.jpg

    Price is NOT $4500.

Remus carbon viper dual port can on it now and goes with it. Seems I was the only one liking the GP type exhaust.

Luggage is detachable and so is the luggage frame.

Read the ad for all details.

Oh, and to keep me from going ballistic, if you don't like it, don't comment.

If you want a very desirable bike in excellent condition with a ton of extras, contact me first. I cannot ride anymore due to extreme illness and bike and all extras must go. In storage at this time.

PRO-TIP: If it's not in the CLASSIFIED section where it belongs, it's open to public opinion. ;)

    Ladies and Gents,

I'm brand new here. I have re-inherited my son's 1996 VFR and it has not run in at least two years. The throttle shaft will barely turn. The bike has been completely stripped and the new OEM red paint has been completed and I have all the parts back.

I need to remove the carburetors to have them cleaned / rebuilt. Looks a bit challenging. I don't have a repair / service manual. Can someone point me to the correct thread / discussion for this?

When the carbs are back and installed, I'll put her back together and get her running.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Woah, woah, woah...wait a minute there gents. It is NOT Safetypro's fault. I was the one who posted in the regular forums the link to the ad in another website I frequent. I just thought it was an awesome bike and something someone might be looking for. I try to avoid posting links to ads unless it is something really nice and worthwhile. I thought this was. My bad, I guess, lesson learned. No good deed goes unpunished as they say. From now on, I will use more discretion.

I'll go to the box for the 5 minute major.
