Hi guys, i bought a Honda vfr 750 91 last 2 weeks, charged the battery, tested it and i worked fine. i took an hour ride yesterday and the bike had no qualms. later i tried to start it, it wouldnt start. i thought may be it was because the bike was hot, which if it was then its an issue, so i left it over night and this morning i tried starting it again, it cranked just a little and then no sound after that after several attempts nothing happened. i don't know if its the battery or alternator of plugs or...
i will really appreciate some feedback.

As a guess, i'd say the charging system isn't working right.......or you need to replace the battery....or both.

Charge the battery and then do the "drill" and then you will find out why it isn't charging. VFR's are bad for this and sorry to say this but it is most likely this will be the reason the po sold it

I have a 91. I've had this same exact problem. It's not always the R/R! The positive terminal on the battery gets a tiny bit of corrosion, and won't start. Same exact symptoms. I either tighten that bolt, or rub the little corrosion off. Starts right up. Check that before you start tearing your bike apart

Positive terminal, negative terminal, earth to frame, all these things but you will find out all these things if you do the drill, no point in guessing unless you are prepared to push it back home when you get stuck on the side of the road. You have had a warning

WTH ... lol ... are you psychic or something??? The "bike whisperer".

Mobey - don't listen to this guy. As NormK suggested, to "the drill" and get to the root of the issue and find out what is causing it vs. simply replacing parts and hoping you've solved the issue.
