Greeting everyone from a fellow VFRer from Blairgowrie, Scotland. Just joined up after finding the site on Google searching for some advice on action cam fitting and looking forward to picking up some tips from this group of experienced users!

Since getting my full Bike licence I have been bitten with the VFR bug. First big bike was a VFR750F 1986 in black. Upgraded to a red 2001 VFR800Fi which I sold a few years ago as couldn't justify having it sitting in the garage with young kids but managed to get back on 2 wheels last summer when I bought another 2001 VFR800Fi, this time in blue.

Since getting the bike I have replaced the front foot pegs with blue adjustable height pegs (problems with back and hip made it difficult to get feet up on pegs and the extra few mm makes the difference). Also updated the standard screen with a double bubble and added 12v charging cable and fork stem mount for phone so I can use it as a GPS linked to an Interphone FMS Bluetooth headset.

Hopefully I can feed something back into the group with my own experiences.

Hi and welcome to the MadHouse:welcome:

Congratulations on bagging such a smart looking 5th gen!

I suspect Randy will be in touch once he spots your home town - there have got to be at least a half dozen decent distilleries within 10 minutes riding range!

So are you a full time keyboard basher - or do you secretly have a quality control job with Edradour?

    Take care

Welcome webhamster, Blairgowrie is in a beautiful part of the world. I'm originally from Edinburgh but moved to Oz thirty years ago. Every time I'm home I look at those roads and get jealous, then I look at the thermometer and for some reason the jealousy fades away again. Congrats on the new bike, the blue looks good.

Works really well. Only used for sat nav and music / internet radio.

Auto volume on it is great feature. Set preferred volume before you take off and ups the volume when it picks up wind noise so you can still hear.

Definitely a good buy as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks for the welcome SkiMad. Unfortunately I am a full time keyboard basher:( closest I get is sniffing the air as I drive past.
