Cracked exhaust mid pipe mount

    Hi people im a new Vfr800 owner having recently bought a 2008 model with 13kms on it.As you would expect the big is very tidy the only fault ive got is the crack where pipe going to mufflers mounts to rhs rear peg hanger.Its a Staintune system which has had this fault .Are other brands rubber mounted at this point im thinking once repaired maybe enlarge hole and fit a rubber insert .Any advice much appreciated cheers Neil

    This was a known issue with Staintune; other members have had success contacting them, at which point the exhaust was shipped to S and they replaced the cracked piece with one of a slightly different design.

    I have a Two Brother's Racing slip on that is cracked at the pipe inlet. I can't see it, but I'd like to know what it's made of to get it welded.

    Magnet tells all, can only be plated steel or stainless.

    Unless it's titanium :)

    I called TBR and they said it's either stainless or aluminum. Mr. Magnet told me it's the latter...

    Time to get some Mother's polish and some 0000 steel wool and get to cleaning it.
