For anyone who may be interested. My VFR is up for sale on EBAY .

Ive set a what I think is a really low/ realistic starting price with no reserve so someone should get a great deal. A ton of new detailed pictures are available

I can't find your bike on Ebay any more and the auction wasn't supposed to end until Sunday. Did you already sell it?

What is odd is the advice that one of the best bikes of the 20th century and in superb shape, that some think it would not be a good buy when so much space is given to fixing the earlier VFRs that in comparison were not all that great.

Reminds me of my 1990 FL...until I got it home from the dealer and immediately set about "fixing" that rear fender! (More like $7,000 in April 1990, btw.)

I like these bikes more than many people, but I really can't see a "collector" being interested in an FL for a mantlepiece. I wonder how much it went for?

    Ciao,

I would love to know what he got too!
I just finally bought my first 86vfr 750 and I got it cheap. I went through it and after investing 1500.00 total I RIDE IT! I ride it every chance I can! I'm 43 and when I open the garage, start that bike and ease out onto the open road. I feel like the same kid that had a poster of my bike in my lm locker at school. I know there are A LOT of bikes that are faster and will perform better. I ride with guys who sport 10,000.00 bikes. When we stop to rest fuel and water I seem to find somebody who knows what I have, walking right past the other bikes right up to me. I had a guy follow me 15 miles just to talk to me about it.

I guess it all depends on how much somebody has to spend. I know now, these bikes are disappearing quickly. The kids that inherited these treasures are dumping them cheap, cutting them up, crashing them and parting them out OR WORSE!!

I hope whoever bought it Rides and enjoys it!!

OP is missing inner cowling that covers the fuse panel, reason I know about this is I lost mine out in the everglades doing warp speed, damn thing hit me in the shoulder. At the time, I ended up buying a new piece of plastic from the friendly honda dealer. Cost was maybe $30.00 - Also at that time, I bought the center tail section from the dealer that matched the colour of my bike "granite-blue" for around the same price. Having that bike for 22 plus years is and always will be a hoot and labour of love. :peace: love them gen3 bike, but you knew that already :pound:

$4500 dollars in 95 with 4000 miles on it, had some rash too. Bike gets better with age I tell you. New one was $500 with 15,000 miles and took months of parts hunting and basic finger tuning to get into a nice reliable bike. :vtr2:
