WSBK and MotoGP (3 & 2) were all great today. I was elated when Jorge crashed out! Made my day.

Sucked for the Americans in both WSS and WSBK; hope their adventures are better in Austin.

Yeah, sorry, should have clarified; I meant that the Suzuki's inline engine is more "production based", where as the Yamaha, though they derive things that trickle down to the production bike, the M1 engine as a whole is farther from "production" than the Suzuki is. Of course that's all hearsay, since it's not like the factories let people just monkey around with their engines or anything; but, when the Suzuki effort began, it was with the expressed goal to develop directly for their future production bike, where Yamaha still approaches it more as a true prototype platform, that individual components or technological approaches could be adapted to production.

Again, all hearsay; so, I'm just going by what's been reported.

Personally I would like to see JL go to Ducati. This would be a good way to prove his World Championship abilities. I think VR is trying to egg him on so that he does go. Who would take JLs place? Based on Iannone's performance lately, I would be surprised if Ducati dumped Dovi for JL. So maybe JL and AI swap places?

The Duc has moved along in its development a lot with Gigi running it and it is now turning much better. If JL could win one on it that would make a huge statement. When Rossi was there the Duc was a turd and so was the Duc team. Only Stoner could ride that bucking bronco and that says a lot about Stoner. I don't think Yamaha would take Crazy Joe. I think it would be someone like Vinales before him.

I like the thought of Vinales! He's doing great on what everyone seems to agree is a slighlty inferior bike. Although they too have come a long way, I think he's just better at riding it than the Aleix is.

I don't remember what movie it was, but it was one of the Mark Neal Faster/Fastest movies in which they basically said, the bike got progressively worse, even when Casey was on it. Casey left just before it went to total $#it! Not to discount Casey's ability, I think he was great on both bikes Duc and Honda. Similar to MM, he seems to favor sliding the bike around the turns, which the Honda seems to do well even now.

So what would your dream teams consist of? Let's not forget that KTM steps into the picture next year. I believe that they signed Bradley Smith.

2 Weeks ago when Vale was asked about JL moving he said "to ride the Ducati you need big balls, so Jorge won't be going there" ....looks like you have a valid point

About time there was a shake up, Bradley Smith on the KTM could be just the man:potstir:

Yeah Rossi would get so frustrated with the Ducati team. He was use to coming back to the pits with Japanese crew and give them feedback and they worked together to improve machines. The Italian Duc crew took his feedback as criticism. Told Rossi who is excellent at development to ride the bike, nothing is wrong with it! Gigi fired most of those guys.

Yep..."No balls huh?! I'll show you who has balls!"

Although I can appreciate JL for his skills, I don't care for his personality, but will say that he can be very humorous when answering reporter questions. Personally I think he's getting tired of sharing the spot light with Rossi and will end up going to Ducati. After last season, which showed his frustration with the whole VR/MM situation, I think it was the last straw. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

I think he has a lot of potential and has done very well so far. Hope that he can show what he is truly capable of on the KTM.

Ducati wants wins, they would put Stoner on it tomorrow. In testing Stoner was quicker than both of them with minimal seat time....they would punt both of them into the cheap seats. Vinales is going to be on the Yamaha. Rinns and Zarco at Tech 3......

Normally I watch at home but decided to go to the pub with some friends. The pub setup two of their largest monitors with the race and turned up the volume. Other than a couple of regulars, we had the pub to ourselves!

Seems that #93 owns the COTA track!

And here I am stuck with Charter Cable, apparently the only cable provider NOT carrying BEIN TV. I bought the video pass for WSBK thinking I could still see MotoGP on Fox, and MotoAmerica on CBS. (as horrible as that was...) I live in a townhouse, so I can't put a satellite dish on it.

    Man, this sucks.

Double check the HOA rules regarding a dish. Here in California they ruled that prohibiting someone from putting a dish on their town home was not legal. Most of the units in our complex now have dishes. The thing is that it has to be properly mounted and not in a way that creates an "eye sore" (that's my term BTW) but you get the idea.

Thought the GP race was boring and moto 2 which is usually much better was pretty boring too. Lot of wrecks the last 2 races by top riders. Michelin?
