As Y2k dabbled on, be very careful thru NY and NJ. They state that they do not recognize FOPA (firearm owners protection act) which allows one to transport a firearm from one state to another.

Try to avoid stopping for more than gas in those commie states when carrying.

Thankfully I live in the red blooded west. Most of us have guns out here except when in California. I can legally carry in most of the other states though. God can judge me in the others :)

I'm curious for those carrying on their bike, have you actually gone to the range and fired off a clip wearing your motorcycle gloves?

^ Nope. Now that you mention it, I'm willing to bet my hands won't fit with gloves on. Time for a new pistol. ;)

That would be firing off a mag not a clip FYI. I'm willing to be almost no one had done this. Shooting from a bike is not going to be an easy thing even for experiences shooters. Your best bet on a bike is to get the hell out of Dodge. Brake, steer or accelerate.

I'm just thinking of a scenario where having your gun anywhere on your bike would work out in your favor. Even if you're in a parking lot, the chances you'll get to it in time or have your gloves off seems unrealistic.

I found out my gun dealer lied to me, my check was delayed not turn down, in fact it might all ways be delayed as the court deleted the info over ten years ago. This seems to happen a lot, what a bunch of confusing rubbish.

Only on some aftermarkets ... certain Two Brothers models only. Stock exhaust has both mufflers active because they're so restrictive.

I don't think you could even get a dissembled mosquito gun in a stash exhaust.

Being left-handed is great. We're pre-qualified for awesome motorcycle gun battles! I may or may not have practiced shooting at a target from the moving saddle of the Viffer (on private property of course.) "Why?", you may ask. Well not because I'm some nut who thinks I need to know how, but more so because 'Murica and shit.....

I would say most of the time a fire arm just makes things worse not better.

Have you ever thought a bump might make you fire at yourself? A tuarus the pt111 would fire if dropped, they paid out millions, it was fixed on the pt111g2.

Do you have direct personal experience with this, or are you just regurgitating the line fed to you by the media?

I don't carry a gun to try and shoot from the bike while riding lol. It's a last resort. If I can't get away or de escalate then I have it as an option. Being somewhere alone, or win my wife and trouble comes looking I want a way to protect myself. Can't lock the doors like in a car!

Oh and I have fired it win my gloves. Only my winter gloves are too big to fit the trigger guard. I just commute with winter gloves, I don't carry during that time.

Same reason you need a helmet. In all likelihood, you'll be fine without either one but when needed they can save your life.

Exactly. I carry a gun for the same reason I carry a tire patch kit. In case I need it. Never had to, just like the patch kit, but I feel better knowing its there.
