You want to cheap out on your brakes? Better to park the bike and take the bus until you've saved the money I'd say.

i dont want to sound like an ass, but frankly i dont care. im not racing. i ride my bike for pleasure only and hardly use the breaks away. the only reason im getting new rotors is because i dont think it will pass the next inspection like that. im sure i could find some cheap rotors on google but i was just asking if anyone knew a reliable place to buy them. my price range right now is $200 max. id like to spend about $100-125 for both.

i found these on ebay but my bike is in grey text. anyone know if theyd fit?

also, i found these break pads. it has the part number but im not sure how to match part numbers with bikes.

I've only heard of people using EBC or Galfer; EBC definetly the less expensive of the two. Are your out of spec or warped, ,just curious as to why replacement is needed?

i dunno, im assuming theyre warped because when i put on the breaks it pulsates. oddly enough, it only seems to do it at low speeds. this is my first street bike, but i know in a car that usually means the rotors are warped.

I had a SLIGHTLY bent rotor on my Honda ACE after a crash. I took it to the dealer who took a dead blow hammer (rubber full of BB's) and smacked the beegeeses out of it where it was bent, and tada! straight as could be. Also, I put a set of chepeo pads on my Sabre and it did the same thing yours is doing at low speeds only so I put on a set of Honda pads, problem gone!

For the fronts, EBC part number is FA124 for the non asbestos organics, which given your description is probably what you want. Personally, I'd get the FA124HH sintered pads, they brake better and last longer.

The part number is for one pair of brake pads, so you need to order two for your dual disc setup.

I really hope you haven't shelled out on the discs or what i'm about to say may upset you, In 1990 i fitted a set of EBC discs to my 87 track bike with AP lockheed pads, cheaper and superior in stopping power to the Honda ones. They are still on the bike to this day! As a dealer i do normally recommend genuine parts but in this case no.

Part numbers are as Midias said above 1 of MD1001LS 1 od MD1001RS the AP pads I used were strictly a race pad and would not be suitable for the road, (take too long to warm up) so I would use ebc FA124HH, good luck

i bought all the recommended parts (MD1001LS, MD1001RS and 2 sets of FA124) and it is STILL shaking when i put on the brakes. what the hell is causing this? i put on about 100 miles and the breaks are almost worn in. should i send the rotors back or is it something else on my bike that is doing it?
