Last week we had some incredible skies here too.

 

Here is one I took a long time ago with a small pocket camera. This was at my step brother's remembrance. Flathead Lake, Sitting Duck bar.


My front yard where I lived in Ferndale Montana.

 

From my road trip July 2014. Pulled over on Highway 40 in New Mexico when I saw this in my mirror.

Great effect on the shot of The Blue Angels. Were you holding your camera upside down?

 

Nope, two planes flying by within inched of each other. I have over 4000 pictures of that day getting pics as they flew by.

 

Just kidding! You must have serious pesos invested in camera batteries for 4000 shots. Got a few over Lake Washington When they race the unlimiteds on the lake every year. If you have that many, a stock agency might show some interest.

 

Yeah, that's the funny thing. With my Sony A57, I only used on battery all day! The thing is damned near eternal! I switched batteries after I got home. The vast majority of my photos that day were just multiple images of the planes as they flew by. I put my camera into the action setting and it took MANY images of them as the flew around becuase it was so bright that day.

 

I'm guessing the shots were JPEGs.. There's some irony there. I've see folks using the multi-gig cards and run out of juice before the cards are full.

I bought a little box to carry a spare battery for my main DSLR. I still have two Fuji S3s that take AAA rechargables same for a 950 Coolpix that refuses to quit.. My first. (sigh)

Nice shota Lint, where did you shoot the Blue Angles? A friend showed me on almost exactly like that one. He lives in Carmel, CA.

I shot it at the Point Mugu air show this past summer. I have a TON of photos from that day.
