They are releasing massive internal energy in playing. It is not the most physical thing, but the energy takes the physical and emotional form. Think of crying or laughing hysterically: a significant reaction to releasing emotion.

I have to agree, album stuff is OK, but the live concert experience is something else. Been to a few GD shows and always a unique experience!

What did the "deadhead" say when he ran out of drugs?

    "This music sucks!"

Speaking of concerts, I finally got to see these guys live last month. 200 people in a small venue. Was about 10 feet from the stage. Easily my favorite band I've discovered in the last 10 years. one of the best acts in music, not just rock IMO.

You've got to stop watching John Mayer. :tongue-new: Everybody else just looks like they got a paper cut or are taking a leak after their 4th beer.

Almost forgot...Playing right now: Tool - Right in Two

Catching up with a few bands I used to listen to and found a tasty one.

This is a deviation from Byzantine's normal ear-slaughtering style.

    Nice slowgrind on this one!

    I'm older........maybe not.
Saw them once in the 80's and they had a round stage that turned with the intire outer part lined with nothing but guitars.
    No videos...just rock n roll

A nice acapella version of Toto's "Rain in Africa" by Perpetuum Jazzile.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4yHu8L10jY

The Yes tune was studio overlay and well done. The mixing boards even years ago were incredible. Remixes can save all kinds of recorded live gigs. Case in point, The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl in 1964-65.
No feedback speakers and rows of girls screaming or having fake ogasms making the original just noise.. Took aboot ten years and got fixed by the studio gurus, I think at Capitol.

Then we got 8,475,347 doowoppers boppin acapella. Or if you're into it.. The Sweet Adelines and Barbershop.. Don't ask...;)
