Lol Badbilly thanks for being a gentleman! Yes I have a fiancè. Unfortunately is a R1200RT kinda guy (more comfort less sport) so in this arena he's totally useless. Of course my S1000RR totally freaks him out. I'm working on finalizing the deal with the local dealership.

In the mean time I'll consider transitions lenses for my glasses since they do tint under a faceshield. I thought the UV protection of the faceshield would limit the lenses from darkening? I'm sticking with my RF-1200 helmet and may get a spare if they drop enough in price. Of course the X-12 is on a big sale also for the winter season although that's more of a race oriented helmet than the RF-1200 from what they say. It could be perfect for the track.

 

When ordering glasses, you have to pay extra for the tinting behind windshields plus non- reflective lenses as well.
Since I drive for a living, has helped immensely.

Totally useless would be if he rode a Harley..

A simple test should show the effect of UV or just ambient light on transitional lens' both on clear, tinted or transitional face shields.. I would submit direct contact with the manufacturers of the various helmets you are looking at rather than a guess by sales rep in a store or by internet communication of some sort.

Buy that fast bike then you can outrun at least some of the old horny dudes here that are only getting worse with age..or at least until form overcomes function..

Back to heated togs.. If you change your mind, try Gerbings. Great stuff and they might even make tops to accommodate the ladies..

Yah, we're not touchy feely at all ... there's a lot of F-bombs and terms of endearment that happen, especially when we're playing MarioKart and someone starts losing.

Haha...I can already outrun him in the twisties on my my FGT. It's so funny that after a few curves in the hills (yes, there are hills in Wisconsin, Michigan, and western Illinois) that I'm hearing my music start up again on my Bluetooth set because he is now out of range. I don't think of myself as a fast rider but I guess I like my speed and g-forces. lol

 

Studies show that F-Bombs, terms of endearment and even tied scores in MarioKart, are gateways to more inappropriate behavior in the workplace including unwanted touching of peer private parts.
