That's the plan if it goes on. Then back here to pick up wife, dog and fifth wheel for a trip your way for mid to end of june. Then back and saddle up for another Kootenay Tour third week in July with a bunch from VFRD. Then back to make ammends with the wife.

 

Then in September, its my annual Rat Pak Washington, Idaho, Oregon ride

 

Huh ... the Kootenay tour might be doable for me.

As much as I want to do the PCH - that's a rough go for me in May to get my bike out your way, then ride down the coast.

It is a tour put on by the dark side. I think you will need to join and sign up for the ride. Looks like there are some arriving there from Calgary. I have ridden with three or four of these guys in the past, one fairly often. This will be my first with this group but I suspect it will turn out to be a great group. Chomper speaks quite highly of this group for their rides.

 

I was actually looking at possibly doing that ride to the Kootenays as well. I haven't been on many of the roads out that way.

 

This may be well within my wheelhouse ... no camping though? I'm a cheap bastard when it comes to motorcycle trips and lodgings. LOL!

Yup. Sent in my notification to the organizer yesterday. Going to be a busy travel summer I guess. Camping? I just don't know. Out here, even camping in a tent is not that cheap. I paid as much as $65.00 a night to pitch a one man tent in Fort Collins Colorado a couple years ago.

 

Holy shit. That IS some expensive camping.

Let me discuss it with the wife ... I'm already hitting the Black Hills at the beginning of June but I can probably swing end of July as well.

1 hard day ride to Nelson (I might break it into 1.5 days so I can enjoy the ride through the mountains in daylight) from here.

 

It was my Maple Ridge friend, Chomper, who put me onto this. He's been trying to get me to go for a few years now. He has a different handle over there. I don't tbink you will be sorry you joined if you do.

 

I wonder if rjgti would want to make the trip with me?

I could pick him up on my way through Regina .... are you watching this rjgti?

 

I have joined over there, as I figure more knowledge about my new bike is a good thing. Someone over there may have a different perspective of things. I am most likely going to wait until the new year before I make the decision about joining that ride as I have a few things going on around that time next year. But if I can make it happen I will. I know there are some great roads around there.

 

The wife cleared me ... I'm going for the Kootenay tour.

Yah, she's a bit cautious since the accident - but she gave no resistance.
