This is an excellent article. This is about the guy who bought EBR out of receivership and it looks like it's going to be an excellent partnership. A quote from the buyer:

Let's hope the third time is his lucky day. The new owner looks like a no nonsense, successful businessman/engineer. Good article.

I have been dying for an American sport bike from a company I can trust enough to buy from. Buell looks hot for a couple years and then goes under. If this third time really is the charm, I could see buying a Buell in a few years.

Dittos to everyone who thinks buying a cool American sport bike would be awesome in many ways. Perhaps Buell will create a bike like Ariel using the VFR1200 engine!

I am a firm believer in what Bruce Belfer is saying. We need to bring manufacturing back home. I really hope this works out for EBR.

Sold my old Velo to an Ariel guy in my club. Never had one. Rode a Square Four a couple of times. Prince of Darkness and an ignition that hunted..

Cooling Probems in hot climes and real leakers. At least BSA has not been gobbled up for use as a name for toothpaste..

It looks like the death bells are ringing for this company. Liquid Assets looks to be the winning bidder. http://www.revzilla.com/common-tread/erik-buell-racing-sold-for-scrap

Here is my email to them via their Contact page:

Ok, well maybe I should send them an apology email, because: http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/news/erik-buell-racing-third-auction/

    Apology email sent.

Buell should put the Motus V4 into his bike and make it a truly American bike. No Rotax!

Their engine is built by EBR, not Rotax.

After the "rebirth" of EBR the Rotax engine they had been using was being built in the US with a rights agreement with Rotax. Supposedly they redesigned a lot of the motor but its roots are still Australian. I would put the V4 American designed and made in corporation with Chevy in their bike. That would;d be really all American and 2 more pistons. :)

I think that moving Austria to down under is a great idea. Either engine in a Harley is even a better idea IMO..;)
