4Runner with about 220k on it, not even broken in yet. It will continue to pull boats and bike trailers for another 250k without a problem.

Cars only last that long in Florida because you don't have any hills. Or salt on winter roads. Damn you guys...

I'm having some rust issues from dropping my boat in salt water for the last 12 years. This truck has towed track bikes all over eastern US and my boat all over Florida. It has been a great very low maintenance vehicle. It my been long in the tooth but it works.

Plain White 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage with 220,000 kms on the clock. It runs like a clock, it has never broken down and I've never replaced anything but consumables.
I can lay the back seats flat and have carried everything from a 40" plasma tv to a full load of turf in it. I have racks on the roof and carry an 18' sea kayak, which stretches the bounds of legality unless I position it really carefully on the rack :). When I use it for work trips, I can claim mileage and make a profit. It's been a great little car. It even threw itself under the GSF when it fell over in the drive, selflessly taking a dented wing, to protect its stable mate :).

It owes me nothing and I will probably keep it until it starts to cost me money. Unfortunately you can't carry everything on a bike, although many riders in South East Asia would disagree with me :).

That Pontiac looks a dead ringer for our Commodore, I think they were being built out here for the export market

Now we're talking, IMO uber cool. My last car I had for fun was an all together 92 MR2 turbo, MR2t.jpg

I had it in mind when I moved on from that model to get a 97 NSX.

    NSX.jpg

But Noo, I had to get a VFR first ;)

'97 NSX, fantastic car. first year of the 3.2 and 6-speed. great investment also, they're appreciating a few grand each year.

so you never got the NSX?

Sad to say, Not yet.. it's definitely on the get list sooner than later. Yes I've noticed that the NSXs are holding+ their value, which me being frugal has me looking for that sweet deal. 91 92 are not to bad. but like you know, I'm looking for that 97 being the first year 3.2 6 speed.
