OK first let me start by saying I am 53, and have had Goldwings last 15 years ..now I have a 1986 Venture with just 19k miles

But I have an itch to get this 1990 VFR 750 with 27k miles but I have to sell the Venture to get it.

My worry is im too big for the 750...im 6 foot 2 225

The venture is bullet proof and will go 150k...not sure about the VFR

Maybe its middle age crisis etc ..I just want a fun sporty bike and this VFR seems to be the right one

Is 27 k miles HIGH on this bike?

I dont really go on long trips just zip around local and maybe once a month ride 80 miles to one of my friends house

I remember them v-4 tourers from Yamaha back in the day. Suzuki made one called the Cavalcade, v-4 too. I wouldnt hesitate to get the bike if the price was right. Imho, around 2000 give or take. Buy with your pocket book and not your emotions, far as longevity goes, I would put my high mileage interceptor up against any venture royal any day, the honda has gear drive cams and will easily go 200,000 miles with some luck. Its the ancilary stuff that gets you in the end, clutch slave and going over the brake system is prudent on any bike of this age btw.

Other than it's maintenance history. these vfrs can go 150k easily, like any used bike just make sure the normal stuff, tires, chains, electrics in this case the RR, suspension and fit and finish are up to your standards, then from that a price point that fits the bill. Clean ones can go $3500 I've seen em, and I've seen rags that went for dirt cheap, rightly so too. Your frame size is fine for the bike, But, now to get picky more than likely you'll have to do a suspension up grade to make it shine. Good luck you've picked a great version.

I have a '92 vfr750f. I'm 6'1", 187lbs, my wife 1??, saddle bags full, oversized tank bag full and so let's say 350+ total. The get up and go is pretty impressive. I don't think you anything to be concerned regarding size and power. As far as comfort goes is not goldwing but throw on a airhawk seat cushion, a throttle control and the next thing you a few hours have passed. At 50 it's the right bike for me.

OP should keep us abreast of the situation regarding "pulling-the-trigger" on purchasing this bike.

It's the beginning of a love affair and you're scared, we get that. But man, look at that color, Italian red! That swing arm, those spoked wheels in white...and then there's the sound, omg. DO IT!

Whatever it's called anywhere, anything but a clear title has meaning subject to the state, province and probably country. Best IMO to check oot exactly what which legal conditions apply and find oot the exact reason for the title to be anything but clear.

The 90-93 are basically the same bike. Basically means there are differences. Case in point. I need a set of forks for my 1991. They are different according to a very reliable source. Great bikes.. Hopefully some of the glitches in the one you are looking at have been resolved. Case in point. The R/R's suck. The monoshock sucks.
The stock chains suck and parts especially the "aftermarket " parts (center stands and seat cowls) are almost impossible to find.

If ya got the time skills and the pesos, fine, but you be dealing with a bike that has been around for a shitload of years and with little provenance.

Looks good! You got a chinese knock off windscreen on there too. See how long it lasts you, mine started to crack and deteriorate after less than a year. I have a Skidmax on my 93 and a MRE or MRA (?) on my 91. I commuted on my 93 the other day and I gota say that slip on gives the bike more personality than the stock pipe does. Sort of like a Nascar on steriods, not too loud btw. Got a Vance&Hines slip-on on my 91, sounds quiet compared to the Yoshimura one. I love both these bikes btw, but you knew that already.

Make sure no-body buys that bike out from under you! I lost out on one bike once because my wife had my car with the trailor hitch on it. The next day I went to Pepboys and bought a hitch for my car (her old jeep.)
