Rear Shock

    The rear shock / damper on my 1999 VFR 800 is failing. I've managed to get hold of one from an early VTECH model. Are the the same part?

    They are not, the 6 Gen is shorter. You can shim the shock by putting washers on top the upper mount below the frame. I believe 5mm is the length difference and that would get you back to stock height.
