My bike has developed a rattle from the engine/clutch/somewhere. Nothing at idle. It was mostly doing it when I would be slowing down. I would let off the gas and get quite a loud rattle. Pull in the clutch rattle would go away. I don't believe it is the CCT since it goes away when the clutch is pulled and doesn't make the noise all the time.

The bike has now also started to get a bit of the same rattle under acceleration too.

Clutch? CCT? Chain? I am lost.

I am not sure what all service has been done. I bought it in March with 24k on it.

Time to do a proper synchro job on the throttle plates to smooth it out. Rattle is most likely clutch plates rattling within the basket due to poor synch.

I would check the chain first and then move to the CCT.
My dime is the chain :juggle:

I am with Long for starters. A sloppy chain can cause rattling similar to what you described. If it is original chain, it would be over due by now. But you also get weird rattling noised from CCT. I think your mileage is a little low for that to develop yet but who knows. Check to make sure there are no pop cans tied to the back of your bike.:joker:

I had the same sound and vibes, it was the chain. Replaced, good to go. sprocketcenter.com is a reasonable online vendor

If the OP knows he's riding on the original chain he should replace it, as few-to-no OEM chains are still OK at 30K.
