This one is a little close to home for me.

Gary and I became friends over the last 18 months or so. I sold Gary a lot of my gear over the last couple of years. Although we live "too far" away to have ever ridden together, we often talked on the phone, sent texts, pictures, even Christmas Cards. His last text to me was when he got his bike back running, but he had no exhaust on. He sent a video that damn near blew out the speaker on my phone it was so loud. And he laughed manically as he beast was alive again. I'll miss that laugh, brother.

I know a lot of assholes in my life, and I don't mind saying who they are. But Gary was not one of them. He was good guy.

God speed, Gary. Best wishes for the family. You'll be missed, my friend.

Sorry to here that, I liked it when he kicked me. What could have happened, he was really young. These days you have to really pay attention to what your doing-so many monsters out there. Cecil was king of the jungle til a mad man got him.:sorrow:

My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. I only know him through here and the Interceptor Patch thread. He was a good contributor to this forum and his presence is going to be missed.

We all know there is inherent risks in riding our rides, but we still ride. You who know him I am sure would attest to his love of riding

For those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with him, my thoughts go out to you too.

Gary. You no longer have to deal with speed limits, poor pavement and idiots on the road. Ride on Brother.....ride on.....

I wonder if the Nissan driver was running without lights. The time would have been dusk, and unfortunately I see plenty of folks in northern VA every day who are super lazy about turning their headlights on during that transition to nightfall. Even up to an hour after sunset, I'll usually flash my highs at them if there's no other cars around them. Gary had a legal passing zone on that stretch of road if you look at google street view.
