    That's funny. On my last trip through Pennsylvania, we went by a group of those guys like they were standing still...it was like they weren't even doing the same thing as us.

    Longest thread on VFRWorld ever, just so we can all make time to bash Harley bikes and their owners. (Don't worry, HD has earned our criticism and insults)

    At the Blessing of the Bikes today out here, I didn't really take count but from a general feel of the thousands of bikes, my guess 50% Harley

    Taken from the article...
    During a conference call with analysts, Harley-Davidson CFO John Olin said that many of its rivals were aggressively cutting the prices of their products. That's a big problem since Harley-Davidson has traditionally been a more "premium" brand in the industry.

    Could it be that HD is just charging too much for their products? And while were at it, does charging more for something automatically make it a "premium" product?

    I don't think so. HD doo-rags went from $19.99 to $24.99 almost overnight. I have heard that the new ones have fewer skulls on them.

    Ohhh, I want to justify buying 1940's technology for a 2015 price by pridefully stating that I am on a "Premium Brand". Ain't NOTHING premium about a freaking Harley, but the price.

    I bought my bike with 2005 VFR with 6600 miles on it and I was able to only pay $3800 for it. That is something to be proud of. A good bike at a great price.

    I'm so glad I don't drink the Kool-Aid.

    MO is also an acronym for mineral oil. A shitload of that HD stuff is snake oil..

    I was in a HD Botique a few years back. The sales manager is a good bud of mine. Also attending was another bud who has written several books on Harleys.

    We were there for a meeting to set up a ride. There was stuff on display that we had no idea what it was.. I once bought a Christmas gift for the owner of the Seattle BMW shop a bottle of HD aftershave.. Sooo since "challenges" can be fun. How bout one for the stuff that HD sells that has little or nothing about bikes.

    Heres one;

    HD baby clothes. Or are the duds for midgets?

    I have read that Harley makes the majority of their money from merchandise, not their bikes.
    2k extra for a Springer fork?! Showa must laugh at that one.

    We (western new york) recently had an at-home pipe bomb maker busted by the federal b.i. who blew off a foot in his garage. His Harley was only slightly damaged in the explosion. Perfect example of the Harley sub-mentality ! :blue: Naturally, alot of racist posters on his walls.
