I have been slowly improving the 86 VFR750F I bought a while back. It was crap, barely ran, carbs were shot, had to ride with the choke on! Bought a parts bike and rebuilt and jetted the carbs which made a big difference. This week I went with new sprockets and chain (15/46), and dumped the truck tire it came with (140/90x18) for a much smaller 130/70x18. The old dog came alive! Now for paint and a good detailing.

When removing the bolt on the countershaft I had to use a breakerbar. Bolt "popped" loose so I thought al was good. I didn't inspect the bolt, finger tightened it with the new sprocket then snugged it up with a 3/8 drive wratchet. Head broke off the bolt "Oh F..K"! I'm screwed! bolt.jpg Luck was with me and I was able to use a couple of picks to back the treads out the hole!
