Hello All! I wanted to stop by before I started having a look through the rest of the forum threads. I have a VFR750 which I have had just over a year, mainly use to ride to work and back but I try get off touring when I can. I will get some pictures up when I can, just bought a new laptop and unfortunately I haven't any uploaded pics of my beast yet! Looking forward to getting to know all you other VFR owners!
Take your time..Posting pix is not a rule here. A shitload of that is so some dudes here can pick oot stuff like "Ooo Lookie his chain lube has done flung crud on his back wheel or OMG look at that el cheapo muffler on his bike."
Welcome to The World vf300! Do you have ultra low speed internet service? It shows you joined almost a year ago (Nov 2014) but today's your first post (Oct 2, 2015)! As far as pics, some may do what BB says but most just want to make sure you're not here to troll, besides we need to see what a 2010 VFR750 looks like, the last VFR750 we've seen is a 1997 model, plenty of VFR800s from 1998 onward but no VFR750s. Cheers
You gotsta be an opthamologist. Good eye. Now leave the poor bloke alone. Already he will be caught up in "thee" battle. Welcome to the site vf300. Where about in the UK are you from? We do like pictures here. Just make sure you clean the brake dust off the wheels before you post. I hate brake dust. I hate chain fling. I hate chicken and dumplings. I hate.....enough of the negativity. Welcome!
Welcome, dont mind these guys...just SOW...sound advice... immediately put him on ignore, you don't want to listen to any of his uneducated babbling...special needs ya know. Pictures would be great
^^ Thought i was replying to just one person then, going to take me a little bit to get used to this! I joined last year when I first got the bike but hadn't posted anything since. I wasn't sure on joining a forum at first cause I know how some people get on forums, but i did anyway. I've just started stripping the bike to get some things done with the suspension, I will get some pics up asap. thanks for your warm welcomes.
Hi and a belated welcome to the MadHouse:welcome: You might want to update your forum profile to include Lincolnshire as a location. That way if you do need help with a problem, you may find someone nearby will be willing to swing by and advise - especially if you have a well stocked beer fridge. You might also want to check and update your VFR specs - what matters on the forum is the year the bike was actually manufactured - not the year it was finally registered or put together from the parts bin. It is worth spending a bit of time checking out posts in pertinent sections of the forum especially if your bike has problems. It seems some of the folks on here seem to be quite good at breaking/dropping/crashing things and the chances are someone else has encountered the same problem before. So with luck, the Forum search engine will find relevant threads. If you get no pertinent results from a search, then posting a new thread in the Mechanics Garage is probably be a good place to start. Don't worry too much about etiquette, as unlike others, this Forum seems to do fine with a fairly light touch by the mods - apart from spam posts which will get you barred! OK just like every village .. this Forum has theirs .. so if you are not sure what planet people are from, it may be worth checking out their past posts before deciding whether to bother to respond to someone, who may be just out to rachet up their post count..... Take care ATGATT SkiMad
