Here's another blow to Honda, Yamaha will be returning to WSBK in 2016 and they have announced their riders...Sylvan Guintoli and Sam Lowes (Oops, Alex Lowes). Wonder who will be taking Guintoli's spot on the Honda?

I saw that, I think Honda will eventually come out with something that will make them king again, but at the moment they are way behind. I wonder what Vandermark would have done on the Kawi this year.

    Little more on Yamaha.

Yamaha has confirmed it will join forces with Crescent Racing for a 2016 factory World Superbike return.

2013 BSB champion Alex Lowes will continue with Crescent as it makes the transition from Suzuki, with 2014 WSBK champion Sylvain Guintoli signed as his new team-mate.

Guintoli won't be the only arrival from Ten Kate Honda, with PATA also announced as Yamaha's title sponsor.

Yamaha won its first World Superbike championship with Ben Spies in 2009 but withdrew at the end of 2011, by which time the likes of Noriyuki Haga, Troy Corser, James Toseland, Marco Melandri and Cal Crutchlow had also tasted victory on the R1.

Crescent meanwhile has been synonymous with Suzuki, Paul Denning's British-based team having run the company's official projects in BSB and MotoGP as well as WSBK.

The new 2015 R1 has taken victory in the AMA Championship, Suzuka 8 Hours and is currently leading the BSB standings with Josh Brookes.

"This is a very exciting moment for us as we eagerly wait to return to the top level of Superbike competition next year after an absence of four years," commented Yamaha Motor Europe Chief Operating Officer, Eric De Seynes.

"Having re-written the Supersport rule book and changed the game with the new YZF-R1, directly developed from Yamaha MotoGP technology, it was clear we would need to return to the World Superbike Championship to show the full potential of our new Superbike machine.

“We took one year to grow experience with the new R1 in many other championships where the bike has shown its potential already, with the amazing 8H of Suzuka victory and the very positive results that our official Teams are gathering all around Europe.

"Now we are ready to be back on the world stage and I am happy we have found in Crescent the same values of professionalism, engineering detail and passion for victory we share."

Cam or Melandri to WSBK with Yamaha Factory squad is obviously dead. New support team with Melandri and Cam possibly coming....or not. Nicky won't be at Ducati either.....only hope left is Aprilia for either one of them to get a full factory ride (unless Aprilia pulls out completely to focus on MotoGP next year)....which I don't feel is at all promising with Jordi Toress and Leon Haslam having a strong year. American riders carry very little weight since Josh Herrin got fired midseason from Caterham.......his former teammate is now crushing everybody in Moto2. PJ Jacobsen is a forgotten rider in the US, probably better off, 2nd in the WSS standings.

Although Yamaha won the battle at Suzuka, Suzuki won the war. No mention of a factory Suzuki WSBK team as far as I have heard....the GSXR 1000 remaining unchanged in 2016.

    Spoiler ********************************* Aragon Gp

IRossi was probably thinking it was a hell of a time for Pedro to ride his most aggressive laps of his entire career. Stuffing the GOAT. At this rate JL should take it 3 more races. Bummer. But the fat lady has not sung yet.

About the only time when I would have preferred Dani NOT have been so aggressive, but even though it cost Rossi 4 points, it was what racing is all about! Dani is for sure a great rider, many say someone who is not deserving of a MotoGP ride but he has proven to be able to give the points leaders a run for their money from time to time.

Whore-Gay has also proven that he is one of the best as well, very consistent and very few crashes and/or mistakes, unlike MM's season this year! If he does get the title, it will be one great battle to watch between him and Rossi, at least I hope to see battles between them similar to his battle with Dani.

I had to watch it again....I will take immense satisfaction from Dani continuing to insert himself between Rossi and Lorenzo. Even the announcers wrote Dani off with respect to his ability to hold off Rossi....with 10 laps to go they acted as if it was a foregone conclusion that Rossi would finish second. Good on Dani, welcome back, and keep up the good work.

I don't Hate Pedro Bot but he is not the fighter I want in a race. In fact I would say that is the most aggressive he has ever rode. He's been a wimp on so many occasions when it gets hot and heavy. Sure he has shown he can run fast laps on a clean track, but dice it up? Schwantz and Rainy would have eaten him for lunch.

Actually, I didn't come up with "Whore-gay", this is the way that Valentino pronounces it. I'll chock it up to the Italian accent...

I would much rather see Dani win a championship than to have Rossi when another one. Never had any love for the Italian, immense respect for his riding ability and accomplishments, but never got on that bandwagon.
