CRC is safe for throttle bodies, this problem never happen on my r6 Yamaha-I would say the airbox size might have something to do with this. Its not like I didn't check the airbox, as I did 2 times last year, so I would think it would be ok- caught me by surprise-I was not happy at all

Jesus, that thing would drag on the ground when it's running. How on earth would it fit into the airbox with that sort of appendage?

in 80 years, sow's low mileage vfr will be unearthed on one of those barn find tv shows (possibly in hologram by then?) It will have been perfectly preserved entombed in a dried mountain of cat shit.

I heard a true story-chipmonks like Honda's because they smell better than Yamaha. Goldwings look like desert to them. Moth balls do work against this BB Pest. One old cat helps too. I got a can of CNC cleaner, that might be safe for throttle bodies but I am not so sure- it has acitone in it and says it can take paint off. I have conclude they may not be any cleaner that works very good. Techron added to gas would help. I think when you use a cleaner-don't use too much let sit about a hour then ride the bike, I am concerned about the damage these cleaners might do.:dizzy:

Oh my, I hope we don't lose Norcalboy to Google or Microsoft. Who else could we rely on to solve all the yet unaccounted for problems.
    Thankee Jesus.

The thread is now open for questions just as soon as the chipmunk problem is solved.

that is true BB Chip monks are extremely hard workers who cherish their nuts.
I have found where I bought that pipercross off ebay and have emailed British Queen
for replacement. Don't know what will happen, but at least I gave it a shot!

cnc throttle body cleaner is safe to use on vfr- its $3 at auto zone, hit the throttles with some-not too much, let sit for a hour then run the bike for a while. Gunout will take the coating off- I used a bit and it did work but don't use it at all. really screwed up might take a few trys-don't use too much at one time of cnc

Once again I must offer my apologies to the forum for triggering Norcalboy's obsessive-compulsive disorder which now seems to have been coupled with his narcissism. Eeek!

I looked up the new Alvin on Utube. The damned critter is a cross dresser. This makes it difficult to think why SOW is so down on chipmunks.

The merits of your cat are then overstated if your aircleaner is an indication of it's worth.
