lol I have a 2008 Electra glide standard with 33k trouble free miles. 99% of those my wife is on the back. Its not a bad machine for comfort and getting to see places with the mrs.
I just picked up my vfr for some solo commuting and alone time.I've had from hayabusa s to my just sold fjr, seems to me there's haters of every cycle ive ever put my ass on.you should see the folks hate on the busa!!!. I guess it a 'ride what you like "and " like what you ride" kind of world. but ya I guess h.d riders are dickheads more than not.

You got that right. A motorcycle is just a tool. Use the right tool for the right job. I'd have a stable of at least six different bikes I'd use for different occasions...if I won the lottery. There probably wouldn't be an HD in there, though. There's nothing they make that is the best in class, performance-wise. Some do look pretty good but I wouldn't want to do many miles on today's roads. And I don't like heavy bikes.

Happen to speak to a nice hd rider that was waiting in the local water department the other day. Turned out he was an ex-motor cop, commented on how he wished he rode today, I said, I hate taking my helmet into places but was afraid to leave it on the bike as you never know where some unscrupulious scum bag can steal your stuff, told him it would be like stealing someones used underward, he laughed. Was telling me about his theory on, assuming your invisable and everyones out to kill you.

I would'nt not engage someone in some motorcycle banter even if he/she was a hd rider. I did how ever refrain from tellig about my 111 mph speeding ticket that I beat recently! ound:

btw, the "Busa" has a face only a mother could love. If I won the lottery I would have maybe a hd in my stable, some tourer maybe? I dont play so I will never win there. Peace

 

My riding buddy owns a Dyna. He's always trying to trade me bikes when I'm on my Hypermotard, but it only took a couple laps around the block on his bike to make me realize that I don't want to trade off mid-ride and be stuck with his bike for who knows how many miles. I'll admit, it turns better than I expected and it definitely feels planted at all times. I can't stand the seating position though and it's a pain in the ass to walk around a parking spot while seated.

Typical HD rider....he had to get louder pipes because my stock setup on my Hyper was louder than his stock pipes.

 

Be careful with this dude. There are several instances where the next thing they want to do is swap engines.

 

I don't know if this has been posted before but it is worth a look to see this dumb ass get his. The fact that it's a Harley just makes it that much more fun.

I agree. Bikes is bikes and I always love to look at and ride other bikes whenever possible but I have no desire to set foot in a Harley dealership. They don't make anything I want to ride. Tack on the attitude, the wannabe biker crap and the plethora of 1950s fringed leather and I just have no interest.

I don't like to ride sitting on my tail bone.
