And also when they are at an intersection waiting for the light to turn green. Got stock behind a stratoliner rider once with straight pipes who was revving his engine for no reason, couldn't bear the sound for more than 10 seconds. Finally just moved out into the next lane as soon as I got a chance.

Thank you for the compliment. Photography is one my hobbies. I like using my DSLR whenever possible. The last one was off my phone though. It is just like riding a motorcycle, you might have the best bike but you need to develop the skills to get the best out of it.

 

HAHA I was thinking the exact same thing. I've been taking photographs since my dad bought an OM-1 (stolen in 2007) back in I think 1976. After one good season of riding I am working on getting the motorcycle skills up to the photography skills.

I have a D90 (replacement for stolen D70). I have the kit lens which is F5.6. If I had not bought the VFR last year I would have gotten a lens, perhaps the 85mm 1.4. I need something fast that can light up any situation but the lens is still closer to a "wish" than a "need".

It is slim enough to be used comfortably in the available space and works for both, the shock and chain. You could find this tool easily in local stores. I did not know and was not sure about this working and found just 1 reference to it working on some suzuki forum. Thought this would help someone so thought I should post it here. The bigger spanner is 87mm and smaller one is 68mm and has a 8mm notch. The notch is a bit bigger but you can make it work very easily. Much better than spending $40+ on the two stock tools. Only problem is that it won't fit under the seat.

 

If you can find it, the same tool works on a VFR to set the shock preload and chain adjustment on Honda's NT650 Hawk.

 

Sorry I didn't notice this thread earlier - it looks like the same spanner I got from CycleGear for less than ten bucks. The big & little combo; works just fine for both shock & chain adjustment.

 

If it helps anyone, I made my own spanner. I had it laser cut from stainless and incorporated a hex into the handle for the pinch bolt. There's a thread here somewhere where I posted pics. I can provide a 2d CAD file or a PDF print. Just PM me if you want the info but be patient as I don't check here much.

Knight is tossing oot numbers again withoot references. The OM1 is the Olympus 35mm SLR. The D90 is the Nikon DSLR. With a few exceptions most Nikon lens' will work on most Nikon cameras.

Nikon has not changed the dimensions of the mounting bayonets since 1947. To describe a lens for reflex cameras ie true reflex and not mirrorless cameras, the focal length or lengths must be stated as well as the maximum aperture or apertures in the case of zoom lens'.

A Nikon D70 or D90 and lens can be bought with a little negotiation and staying away from used camera retailers and pawn shops for less than 100 pesos.

Times must be tough for Knight if his paycheck is so small he cant afford to pop for a 15 year old camera and lens or IMO he is talking shit again like the laws of physics being rules or some such other crap subject to the whims of politicians or in the case of DTrump, wannabe politicians.
