Ok, not that I'm having an issue, but found I have a new RR from electrosport that was for the 4th just in case, I never used it. This got thinking Hmm? wonder if it fits / works on a 5th? I see the 5th has a pig tail, where as the 4th just has an outlet plug in, thinking it should swap? Anyone here know?

R/R as are pretty much universal. You can make them work on any bike as along as they meet the minimum Amp rating. You can splice wires to fit the connectors or but the cirrect connectors for the R/R in question and solder it to the bike wiring harness, or run separate wires etc.

For most bikes You have 3 yellow or white wires that go to the stator and one positive(RED) and one neg(usually black or green). Some have a 6th wire that's a monitor wire to sense battery voltage.

Hey brotha jay! Do you still have your 4th? I though that you traded it for some venison steak a few years back. Glad to hear she survived.

Keep the rubber side down brotha.

No 4th gen, went to the dark side and landed a 5th. I have a few trinkets from the 4th that get me wondering if they are usable on the 5th. LOL that venison was a bit raw.

Awwww, we are near blood brotha's now then hoss! Did you part out the 4th, or is she resting peacefully underneath a cross in your backyard?

I figured that venison woulda been some tasty jerky by now.

LOL sent that venison off to a prison camp. ;) awe blood brother indeed. I kept some one ofs just in case, but in looking around the garage for a tool, I tripped over the RR, I do have a set of rear grab handles and a perfect rear cowl. I just sent the rear shock to a new home, The race tech goods went into the 5th all ready.
