Have had my '02 for a few months now.
Clean this area WD40 about 1K mile ago. Here's what she look like now.
I don't see any leakage around the shift shaft or water pump.
    She isn't loosing oil.
Some coolant loss, but this was from a loose hose after recent thermostat replacement.
All leaking was on the right side of the bike.
Rode her yesterday and the leak associated with the thermostat is fixed.
    No clutch fluid loss either.
So any ideas if this is normal grime from the chain, or should I look deeper?

Looks like normal grime that sticks to lubricant thrown off chain.

what product are you using for chain lube? If it's anything other than Dupont Chain Saver, you're using the wrong stuff.

Clean with kerosine and lube with Maxima Chain wax. Will try the Dupont stuff next based on you recommendation, thanks.

Looks like you may be the only other person on this forum that does not suffer from a life threatening chain lube allergy.
