    Hi Everybody,

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

I have been reading a lot in this forum and acquiring info from various threads. I've purchase my first bike last week ( a 2005 VFR 800) and very proud of it.

    cheers

    That's exactly right MPH Racing!
However, not convinced that the replacement will be better in everything than the F/A18...but I guess that's a conversation for another forum.
As for pics, well I have a couple on my camera and cell phone. Whats the application used to post? Is photobucket still a way to go?

Excellent choice in bikes and one sweet ride! You have the color of wheels I want on mine instead of black. May have to change that soon. Anyway, go put some miles on it and stay safe.

Thanks guys! Sorry if I took to much time putting the pics out there.
I do love the silver colour wheels....I really wanted them that colour. Although, black is nice too...
So I understand what you're saying gigemVFR.

@Jeff-barrett, sorry to hear about your bike. Hope the new one will more than compensate. BWT, what is the difference between an 800 and 800A. Whats about those who have ABS?

Sorry, a bit new to the playground..

The 800A has ABS brakes so it will have wheel speed sensors and an adjustable rear shock. You can see the adjustment knob on the RH side of my bike just above the rear passenger peg.

Right on. The "A" signifies ABS. Otherwise they are the same beast.

BTW, the adjustment knob is just for preload. Rebound is adjustable at the base of the shock, there are no compression adjustments on this shock either.
