This kid is a genius. I watched another vid of him and his mom in an interview. He's just a regular kid until he plays. The story is that his dad who plays piano showed him a few fundamentals and the kid just took off and started playing like that. Heavy influence from Ellington/Strayhorn. A few others who had the gift at a young age: Oscar Peterson, Andre Previn, Dave Brubeck, Errol Garner, Hampton Hawes.

The tribute band thing is a joke for now but Geezer Rock and Roll is here to stay!

The next dumb question might be something like, "Well" (well my ass, just say what ya gonna say) "Billy don't you like Rock?" Sure do... All if it? Hell no! As one example if a choice were to be made between taking a dump and walking across the street to see Kanye West. Ya got one guess on this one.

I have read they are still a fun band to go see despite going through a few change of group members over the years. Heard the current group has been together and is stable and makes their show better. Enjoy the show!

I love blues... My favorite music. Smokin Joe Bonamassa, old Jonny Lang, Samantha Fish, and Oli Brown; all good new bluesmen (and women).

Latley lots of Stevie Ray Vaughan, lots of Joe Satriani alittle Ramstein thrown in to really get the blood pumpin. Perfect riding music. ...all the way up to Laguna...it was surreal

 

Yeah, his first couple albums, to Lie to me was my favs; after that, not so much... I guess I liked him better when he was a kid.

 

Been listening a bit to my old '70s and 80's Metal like Judas Preist, Metalica and my personal all time favourite metal band Motorhead.

I like Judas Priest. They are fun to play on guitar.

First song of the work day: Sledgehammer, by BTO. Cannot wait to get down the list to "Stop, Wait, Listen" by Circus. Oop turn shuffle off so it goes straight down alphabetically for now.
