It's possibly been covered (i can't find it though!) But what cans are best for our gen? Photos would be great also!

The most common ones people are using are...Akrapovic, DAM, Delkevic, and Arrow. I, personally ran a Delkevic 14" oval carbon (only $200) with baffle removed, for the first 8 months or so, while I waited to see what other brands would develop something for the 8th gen. I now have the DAM in satin silver with carbon end cap and sport noise killer baffle installed ($595). It's a tad quieter than the Delkevic without baffle, but sounds great. Main reason I chose the DAM was the look. Can't really say I noticed any difference in performance with either one over stock.

Here's my bike with the Delkevic and the DAM...

I've got an Arrow with the baffle out. It's barely louder that stock but it's a much better sound. I actually wish it was a bit louder, I can't hear it at speed with my earplugs in.

Yeah that Dam looks good! I jad an arrow on my bmw f800st and loved the sound. This is all I'm chasing as performance isn't the be all and end all for me. Did you get the Dam off the web or in store??

I got it directly from them. Not sure it's available any other way.

I was back and forth for quite a while on which exhaust. I really liked the DAM, but decided to get the Delkevic 8" mini can for now to save some money and get it immediately, with the idea to get something else in the future. After installing it and letting it break in, I now plan on keeping it long term. I have the baffle in and the sound is great (especially when Vtec kicks in). In addition, it's a nice looking exhaust in person and shows a lot more of the rear wheel due to its size. It's definitely louder than stock, but not unreasonably loud. I may even try it with the baffle out. And for $230 that I paid for it, the price couldn't be beat.

That DAM pipe looks awesome, would love to hear it. You Denver guys get the BEST backdrops for bike photos, not fair. You could park a pile of *&%^ in front of those mountains and it would look pretty good.

It doesn't sound as good when standing still and revving as it does while actually riding, so a video wouldn't really do it justice. Maybe someday I'll set up my Gopro near the exhaust to try and get some "riding sounds".

I went with the Two Brothers S1R and love the result. The sound (click here for the video) is fantastic, and IMHO is one of the sexiest looking pipes, especially on a black bike:

Both teams were experimenting with their line-ups ahead of the World Cup, this year and if anything the loss will just fire up the AB's for next week at Eden Park - where the Wallabies haven't beaten them in 11 years. ;-)

Staintune needs to bring back a high and tight version for the new VFR IMO I wasn't sure what version VFR you were asking about, but on a 4th and 5th, maybe a 6th, Staintune rocked it.
