Being a v four the vfr is actually two harley engines!

There are two separate twin cases with two pistons= two Harley engines on one bike,. So don't be so hard on the old twin.:horn:

rode the bike,mirror loose -used duct tape. 91 doesn't work too good-put some 87 in and more seafoam.

I know the Vtec was a downgrade, but I had no idea Honda changed over the configuration to a 45 degree V4 with low mounted camshafts and pushrods? That's crazy

 

Using that logic (?), a Harley is 2 Briggs and Stratton engines, which come to think of it is what they sound like

 

this was not a downgrade-if Randy couldn't destroy his vfr in 118,000 that's is sure proof the vtec works extremely well. below vtec you are getting great mpg then you want to turn it into a sport bike just ride 7,000-11750rpm that's perfect for extremely fast back roads and highway.
