Gonna be missing alot of the the cool stuff in oregon. Without going too crazy, I would jump off I-5 in weed and take route 97 north. Ride that to Shaniko so you can do OR-218 east (best road in the whole state) to Fossil. From there 19 north to 206, back to 97 to the columbia river gorge (or heck, just ride 218 back west to 97). Head west on I-84. Hit up the Rowena grade just west of Rowena (that portion of old 30 that looks crazy twisty) back to I-84.

The run up to Windy Ridge at Mt. St Helens is an awesome ride and a worthy detour. Cross over the columbia river at Hood River to white salmon WA. Head west on 14 to Carson (fill up tank). Head north on Wind River Rd/NF-30, turn onto curly creek rd. That takes you to NF 90 to Pine Creek info station. Take NF 25 north, to NF 99 (windy ridge) west. Do the run out to Mt. St Helens. Head back to NF-25 and turn north towards Randle. From there rt 12 west, 7 north to I - 5 north.

    Mt. St Helens park info.

If you're pressed for time and could only do one of these... OR-218 for sure. Love that road.

also, on your way back out of Utah. If you could do the ride through Zion national park.. it's worth it.

Scubalong you're my HERO!! Wow what a trip planned and I want to go too. But of course I can't. Be careful in Alaska as I've been told some road surfaces are not the best depending. Have a blast and stay out of jail,uh?

So are you rich or do you have a sugar momma?

a long moto trip can be much cheaper than you think. pretty good MPG and if you load up a tent, camping out will only cost you a few bucks a night at most national parks.

I have been to almost all the places you are going. What a dream trip. One thing to think about is a few days sprinkled in for weather and any other unforeseen things. ( especially in Alaska) That is a very aggressive schedule. Can't wait to see some photos.

Wow, Long, what a great trip you have planned.

That was pretty cool of skimad to host you. VFRWorld has truly gone international. Did you rent a bike there, or did he hook you up with one? That would be one brave man, lol! (Sorry bud, couldn't resist!)

I like the word play with Phamily. Very creative.
