Bad gas is part of the reason my vfr runs shitty.

I heard the summer blend is really crappy gas=more ethanol in it. 91 seems to run the worse. The bike is running too rich.:chaingun: BB maybe adding water to gas too. a troll is never done with causing as much trouble as possible. I think , new denso spark plugs may help a little-they are working very good in my car!

Bad gas is sometimes caused by a poor diet. Try some "Beano".

Adding a bunch of fuel additives with only "1.5 Gal" from jerry cans actually dilutes the fuel. Your probably creating a mis-fire condition.

correction, you mean you're washing down your cylinder walls with rich fuel that isn't burning. Your bikes probably running like crap because your toasting rings and losing compression.

    Happy riding.

seafoam- cleans out the fuel tank-and FI and helps with any water ub the tank, it burns up. I use techron too. I am going to just run 87 and see if it runs better, so far 91 made it worse adding 87 ran better, added seafoam too early to see results. Change to denso plugs and clean air filter next on list waiting for new fairing bolts and push tags.

Seafoam solves more problems then it makes by far-it is designed to burn up-mostly kerosene, I didn't add too much,. the problem is too much ethanol in summer blend gas. a lot of engines have been running shitty lately. My car was running poorly until I switched to denso TT spark plugs right away fixed the car-srt- is setup to run 91 only. the vfr is setup to run 87 when the gas is fresh, when not it seems 89 is the best. 91 runs very poorly. one problem I have is the pipercross air filter is adding too much air for the factory tune. the denso spark plugs should fire better than the stock plugs. I don't know with so many problems with gas right now if I actually have a bad idle wax unit but the little knob is frozen and does nothing-that problem is either a throttle cable or the wax unit. I am a perfect bean and are getting a new honda mirror-after market ones suk-i go riding and burn up gas and keep adding 87.:spider:

That's actually incorrect. SeaFoam and most other fuel treatment products out there do not help with water in the tank. Once phase separation occurs due to the ethanol, there is no way to reverse this. You can't magically make the water blend in with the gas again. There are, however, some products that can molecularly bond with the water, thereby allowing it to be burned through he combustion chamber.

Phase separation can begin in as little as 2 weeks. Much depends on the temperature swings though. (Hot days, cold nights can expedite the process). You only run 1 gallon of fuel. That's part of your problem. There are 2 options to consider - have a full tank of gas which doesn't provide as much free area for condensation and such to occur, or run the tank completely dry.

They also don't put more ethanol in during the summer (unless the pump specifically is showing 15% vs. 10%). What they do is change the O2 levels.

changing the o2 would make it run more lean, seafoam say it does help with water-how much I don't know, I am going to add some more 87 today
I have mult problems right now-one mechanical and one with gas. the gas problem should fix itself, somewhat. the mechanical problem is either a throttle cable or the wax unit-I can't adj the idle. getting the gas stuff sorted out might fix the idle problem if the wax unit starts to adj the idle, the knob does nothing. denso spark plugs might also help a lot-just don't won't to take it apart right now, I bought a mirror on ebay for $30 -my old mirror is bouncing around and bugs me. I don't fill the tank because I have to push the bike around and its heavy and like s to tip over with a full tank, my car I keep the tank filled.

Denso spark plugs fix ethanol problems...... Seafoam fixes water problems.........Jerry can fixes running out of gas problems..........

There is a pattern here, just can't figure it out.

I really hope when the time comes to sell your bike you part it out, not sell it to some poor bastard unaware of all the nonsense you've done to it.

I'm not making any judgements here just throwing this out there...Do you think that all the troubles you are having with your bike might have something to do with karma? Just something to think about.
