where can i get some new vfr fasteners for the plastic

My fasteners and plastic push pins are screwed up though use-so I need replacements-who has some good ones? A no BB thread-comes up with useless info.:boozer:

These have been discussed over and over. You can find them everywhere for peanuts compared to what the dealers want to charge.

My assumption is that you're talking about well nuts. Go to www.clipsandfasteners.com The ones that work are 16242 and 16248. These are M5 x .8 x .554 and M5 x .8 x .665 respectively.

 

you got to buy 25 at a time, I only need a few, it looks like the 16248 might work the best. I don't won't to order 50 well nuts. Ok, I got the 20 push pull pins for $4.

 

You say that now! Trust me, you'll use them all eventually. I bought 2 boxes of each, I'm down to about 1/2 a box of the 16242 and 3/4 of 16248. Although I do have 2 VFRs I also handed a few out to fellow members. Otherwise look at Lowes Hardware stores. M5 is the bolt size, ,8 is the thread pitch.

 

I wonder if SOW could trade a few fittings for one of those mangy cats he has.
