it looks like I have to take off the front left cowl, this is a pain in the butt because I have sliders on that panel and it has a over sized washer to help holding it on-is this the right panel for a abs version?

    All porcupines float.

Great Horned owls eat skunks - because the owl has no sense of smell.

Great horned owls like chickens not skunks, As usual-I end up fixing the bike myself-the shop I use, has too many other things to fix. I take off the left front panel tomorrow. I may just fix everything myself-ug ug. :censored: My problem started with a tag light short-it looks like I have to go though the wiring some-my bike also idle at 500-was able to get it up to 1000-still too low. I fix fuse then run the gas real low and install new denso plugs. looks like I need a volt meter-this suks-i want to ride it not fix it.

I checked out the two under seat fuse-ok. Left fuse box - two 30a and one 20 a-checked out ok. And dam there is another fuse box to check on the right. I have not looked at that one yet-too dark. This is a pain in BB-to have to check three fuse boxes. All becsuse of a tag light short. I can't imagine doing this on the road-you would have a bike with no lights

so how many fuses on the right front cowl-they are three on the left and two under the seat? I guess no one knows how to fix anything. I don't know too many bikes with three fuse boxs

You are right, it was posted, stupid me for looking at the owners manual. it looks like there are six fuses on the right cowl. I just did a lot of work for nothing, but at least the other fuse boxes checked out ok, I didn't make anything worse, these plastic pieces are hard to work with. Instead of riding, I have to fix stuff ug. I should be able to get the light working now. its been a while sense, I did stuff like this:hail:

Just take your time. You have to push and pull that piece of fairing 3 different ways. If I remember right, start by pushing in on the crease towards the rear of the plastic. There are two push pins to remove too. Good luck.

Trying to remember. There are two clips on the outside about 3" apart. There are two clips on the top. Look for these when you push in on the crease. There's also a "post" on the front that makes you have to pull it backwards.

It's gonna feel like you're going to break it. It sucks. Randy said the same thing.

    Slow and careful...

I fixed the tag light-there is a loose connector-I tighten it up ,but need to replace it- I need some new fasteners, added some fresh gm anti-freeze-drained the old stuff out. I take for a short ride and see if it likes my anti-freeze change. I still need to change the spark plugs.:eek:hwell:

You should mix 50/50 with Honda, GM, Engine Ice, Water wetter, and Prestone. I think it will keep you running a degree or two cooler.
